5 Managers Compared Statistically: Revisited

Recommended Posts

19 Games is 41.3% of one whole season. So how does Brian Gunn''s results compare with the previous four sacked Norwich managers?Well here is another analysis, this time in graphical form, to help you to decide for yourselves.Similar to my earlier post it is based on comparing 19 consecutive games for each of the four managers, however taking onboard previous comments and criticisms I have applied a more rigorous and comprehensive pattern for comparison. This method looks at each and every consecutive run of 19 games played and calculates the average points per game for that series of 19  games. The first series result is of course  derived from games 1 to 19 and the second series result derived from games 2 to 20, the third result games 3 to 21 and so on until the end of the management tenure.Every result is then plotted graphically such that each manager will have his own chart curve to compare visually and side by side with each other manager. The inference is that statistically any one manager could have begun or ended his 19 match run at any time in his tenure and each of these numerous outcomes attempts to compare his performance with Brians one and only 19 game run. A picture paints a thousand words.Incidentally these results unintentionally coughed up the picture in graphical form of another and far bigger concern than the fifth club manager selection; can you spot what it is ?The charts showing the outcome can be downloaded here.Hamilton v Gunnhttp://i43.tinypic.com/4l698m.jpgWorthington v Gunnhttp://i39.tinypic.com/ka46q8.jpgGrant v Gunnhttp://i43.tinypic.com/2d0m7vc.jpgRoeda v Gunnhttp://i39.tinypic.com/30blqc4.jpgEarlier posthttp://i42.tinypic.com/ig93lw.gif
