Off to renew my season tickets

Recommended Posts

Surely the minimum attendance for a league game is the number of season tickets sold.  So it won''t be as low as 18,500 unless we sell no casual tickets.  Of course, how many people are actually in the ground is a different matter entirely, but I''d be amazed if the attendances in August are below 20,000.
Interesting prediction from Wiz regarding result and attendance.  I reckon about 18,500 max unless its a throbbing local derby against Col U.....lol.  My main worry is what sort of team we will have out and if we recognise any of them!  I remember when Wolves got relegated to the old 4th Division; their first game was away at Aldershot and they took a sizeable contingent.  When the Wolves team took to the pitch their own fans were chanting ''Who the f*cking hell are you'' at their own side as they were a totally different side to the one playing the previous season!  Who says Wolves fans haven''t got a sense of humour.
You be careful about throbbing matches against Col U - we have a friendly against you I do believe.[:P]

A warm welcome awaits you at Stonebridge Road - despite the state of the ground, the locals are very friendly.

Just thought I''d let you know am off to Carruh ruud to renew 2 company season tickets and 3 personal season tickets. The company tickets proved very popular with customers and 3 of them decided to purchase their own season tickets as they enjoyed the experience.

I just thought I''d wait til after the deadline as I was pretty sure we would go down after the 2 - 2 draw with Southampton so there would be no rush. After all the changes that have occurred since ie none ! I have decided nothing has made me angry enough to not renew. Am quite looking forward to the new season and the challenges ahead.

Guess I''m a happy clapper......whatever, my money to blow as I like and all that ! OTBC [:)]
yep - happy clapper would be one description. smug patronising git would also apply. Brain damaged? Yep you would fit that description quite possibly.

This is utter bull, if your 3 customers enjoyed last season then they are as mad as you undoubtably are. As a supporter for 35 years and season ticket holder for the last 13 people such as you completely symbolise what is wrong with our great club these days. You don''t care about failure, you are totally without passion. It''s just a jolly good day out and a chance to talk business, perhaps with a cursory glance towards the shambles on the pitch. Please go away and do something else.
What is quite comical about  people like you is you think you have everyone sussed out and as per usual you are a mile off the mark. Firstly, I had different customers go to each game therefore on the strength of their one game experience they decided they would purchase a season ticket, whats wrong with that ? Secondly I have been a a supporter for 44 years, this my second year as a season ticket holder and I have spent 15 years as a steward so persons ( please note no derogatory names used ) can actually go to the football ! What sort of person do think I am " Tory boy " with a couple of plums in my mouth, I am a hard working bloke with 4  kids whom I take to the football to waatch the team I have supported all my life ! If I want to talk business, I''ll talk it at work ! I care about many things in life and some I can actually have control over, but I am a realist and I do not have enough time to dedicate it to trying to change something I hav''nt got a cat in hells chance of succeeding in.

And finally, I will not go away and do something else as I have just purchased my 5 tickets in block J next to the away supporters ( that''ll do me ) in the Jarrold Stand, and I suggest you spend some time putting life into perspective, getting that chip off your shoulder and stop making wrong assumptions about fellow posters. All said without dishing out insults in your direction - other than that " Have a nice day ! " [:D]

Ah stewards, don''t you just love ''em! That explains it all, you were obviously looking the wrong way when we used to play decent football, as you obviously wouldn''t recognise it if it bit you on the @rse. If ever there was an argument for demolishing the Jarrold Stand it''s because happy clappers like you sit it in. you should have gone for the middle section, you wouldn''t have needed to come back till 15 minutes after the second half has kicked off. Next to the away fans as well, how daring! good luck for the Millwall game [:D]

Oh I understand your train of thinking now. Your mind places all stewards in the same category, the happy clappers in the Jarrold Stand, the quiet mutes in the N & P, that would leave the pensioners in the City Stand, the ageing ex Barclay Boys in the Snake Pit and presumably you are in the Barclay....so....you must be one of the foul mouthed, troublemakers who are too busy hurling abuse at the away fans rather than watching the game! Is that how it works ??  ( And just for the record, I have stood next to the Millwall fans before when a steward and funnily enough they are not all as you would portray them either !). I''ll carry on happy clapping, whilst you dream about your revolution....if that makes you happy of course ! [:D]

Seconded, there seems a lot of hate on this mb just for the sake of wanting to hurl insults at people with less extreme views. These persons are unlikely to gain much support from the likes of me as most of their arguments start to become irrational the more they try to bully their points accross in an abusive manner. Still it takes all sorts I suppose !

I''m a board hater (if that''s what you insist on calling me) and don''t agree with Gunnys appointment but I do consider myself to be a true fan having attended my first game in 1972 and only missed 2 home league games through illness in that time, one thing I am not prepared to do is sit back and watch our club being ruined by people who because of their record don''t deserve to be anywhere near this once proud club. I have not renewed my season ticket because it is the only way I know of sending a clear message to them that I am not happy with the way this club have been allowed to sink to it''s lowest level for 50 years, I will be attending games on a casual basis next season even though it will cost me more money but at least it means I can still watch my team in the knowledge that I am at least trying to do something by not giving them my money in advance to try and force change at the club.

I just thought I''d wait til after the deadline as I was pretty sure we would go down after the 2 - 2 draw with Southampton so there would be no rush.

This bit still doesn''t make sense to me.  I genuinely thought the original post was a wind-up.
Yes it takes all sorts and this club would be far better off without all you Delia supporters , maybe when she is forced out you will all leave with her .
And you demonstrate exactly what the problem is ! Firstly I would not be arrogant enough to say that we would be better off without you non Delia supporters as that would be totally irrational. For some posters such as yourselves you seem unable to grasp the fact that there are many people with mixed views. You either pigeon hole supporters in the either  " for " or in the either  "against " Delia box. Until you learn to discuss in a rational manner you will never be taken seriously. Assuming that the vociferous anti Delia supporters are in the minority ( and I have yet to see any evidence to the contrary ) by stating that we would be better off without the pro Delia supporters would also alienate those with mixed views, the happy clappers what ever you like to call them and that would leave ?...........welI don''t know... a couple of thousand like yourself at Carrow Road and where would that leave us, you tell me !

Unfortunately, although I do try to make sense most of the time I am liable to the odd lapse of concentration on occasions, don''t know what I meant by that really so best ignore that bit [:)]

From that post and ur previous posts, can I assume that you want the Board out, Gunn out and the Jarrold stand demolished ? and possibly no stewards at the ground?

My wish is that all the Board haters, Gunn haters etc dont buy tickets, season or otherwise and let the true NCFC fans go and watch their team play football and (try) to win

So what message are you sending them ? As a true fan I will be attending all the games but will be paying you more money !!! Or is it your intention to turn into a casual supporter and just attend the more lucrative fixtures. Until we stop slagging each other off and try and grasp the fact that whatever our views, we are all probably true fans then we will continue on the road to oblivion !

Once they have got your money then as far as they''re concerned it doesn''t bother them if you''re not happy about the quality of the product that is out there on the pitch which is what you actually pay your money for, if you attend as a casual fan it may just make them realise that you expect better than you''ve been getting and maybe do that bit more to try and ensure things improve to keep the fans coming through the turnstiles.

And no it is not my intention to attend the more lucrative fixtures because like I said I consider myself to be a true fan who has quite simply had enough of seeing my team become a laughing stock and see it as the only way I can try and do my part to make things better sometime in the future.

I agree with the point that we are all on the same side but sadly without major changes right at the top I don''t see how we are all going to be singing from the same hymsheet again.

Ok Kdncfc, I understand what you are trying to do and why and if you think it will help achieve your aim then only time will tell. I clearly havn''t helped by purchasing 5 season tickets yesterday, but then I have my own reasons for taking this option and like you it was my choice. To suggest they, ( but then depends on who you mean as " them " ) are not bothered once they have your money is probably not true. Yes, they are business people but they all clearly would like the club to do well and are just as passionate as we are. They are not gods, and are liable to make mistakes as much as us lesser mortals ( in their case they have just made far to many ). I personally hope your changes are not needed and they get it right as more upheaval may not guarentee anything.

Unfortunately, its not like if you''re not happy buying stuff from Morrisons you just switch to Tesco''s - if you are a true fan of your football club then most fans will put up with a lot more for a lot longer as the thought of not supporting your club ( for most fans ) is not an option. Good luck in what ever you decide to do from here. [:)]

I think we are already past the "put up with a lot more for a lot longer" stage CP, if we put up with it for much longer I really do think that we could end up being a non league club in the not to distant future. One thing I am certain of is that Smith and Jones are not capable of turning this situation around and for me it is not an option for them to continue as they have for far to long now. I''d guess time will tell but I''m still hopeful that there may be major changes sometime soon.

Anyway good luck to you to.
