Henry VIII 0 Posted May 7, 2009 Are we officially a Championship club or League One club?On the SSN news ticker, we are a Championship team.I take this as concrete evidence that this season never happened and we can continue to enjoy days out next year at Blackpool and most of all, Derby. GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 1,735 Posted May 7, 2009 Joe Royle had an interesting theory of when a club officially is classed a being in the below division. After Man City got relegated one season they sacked Royle at the end of that season, Royle claimed 400k compensation from Man City claiming that they weren''t officially a division one club until August (and therefore was owed the compensation written into his contract for being sacked as a ''premiership'' manager).
