Dean Coneys boots 1,398 Posted May 10, 2009 What is the difference between a Leeds- who could well remain in L1 yet again- and a Leicester? Truth is that Leicester gambled. They kept on the high earners- added extra staff- spent big- popped in healthy bonuses and went for it. A bit like Brum in the Champ. The other option is to cut your cloth accordingly....shed top earners, bring in young guns, and hope for the best.But in fairness expect to struggle or at least be as good as moany L1 teams if you do. So IMO THAT is where we judge the board. If they make a few juicy signings (esp in midfield) and keep Clingon, Marshal, Croft, Doc then we might jus have a great season......if Cody becomes our BIG player we are doomed. Simple as.
