FOOTBALL: CANARIES BEG POUNDS 15M

NORWICH have taken out a pounds 15m loan to see them through a cash crisis.

Half the money, to be repaid over 15 years, will meet urgent debts, with the rest covering the cost of building a new stand. Chief executive Neil Doncaster said: "We''re borrowing to get through the next few years. Doing nothing was not an option."

But remember, it was Delia''s money that "saved" the club. And as Donny warned in a recent email posted on here, taking on new owners often means lumbering the club with debt, which is not what Delia and Michael want to do...
