Judging from Walsall, you''d have to say if the players put the mental effort in, as well as the physical, all the time we''d be a match for anyone. So why don''t they? Mook 0 Posted November 3, 2003 Because they''re human beings, and somedays they can''t be bothered. For a lot of our players Norwich is a good "feeder" club to get them in the shop window, and if they''re in Grimsby with a chilly wind blowing up their shorts and no scouts are there, they just won''t bother. Some other days, they are just out of form, and on other days it''s the manager''s fault that they''re not up for it.Perm one reason from three, and that''s why we have a tendency to look like a side going through the motions every now and again. But, as I''m sure you''ll agree, this happened every other game three seasons ago and now it''s a lot less frequent than in the days of tackle-jumpers such as Forbes, Llewellyn, Coote and the like.
