pickle 0 Posted May 4, 2009 Can someone, maybe with experience, actually organise a propper protest. Maybe for thursday night with time to actually organise and alert authorities of the plans. Then we can actually have a real protest that we might be listened too. anyone interested?

Show Me What You Gooot! 0 Posted May 4, 2009 The trouble is people are losing faith in these organised protests that never happen. I''d willingly go but are we going to end up with what people experienced today - a virtual "no-show" with only a handful of people looking blankly at each other before going home 10 mins later to do something more worthwhileEither we get a sizeable following or forget it. They won''t listen to a crowd of 10.
A Load of Squit 5,065 Posted May 4, 2009 People won''t toe the line, any attempt to organise a protest will be stubbed out.

Mr. Bump 0 Posted May 4, 2009 I''m sure you might get 10 or 15 to protest outside an empty Carrow Road while they hold the meeting elsewhere for that reason.

Vinny !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 0 Posted May 4, 2009 this lot cannot organise a protest...we managed it in the chase era. If you are passonate enough about ANYTHING that includes politics religion or anything that has got you feeling you need to have your say...YOU WILL protest in anyway shape or form.Get it done, if you feel you are not getting value for your money let this board know..If you feel let down...let em know..Either by noisy protesting or stayin away....Shall i ask my Dear old Mum to start the ball rolling she is 82 (bless her) and has more fight than the majority of the posters on here claiming " Lets Protest ".....Welcome to Norwich a Fine City x.... hogesar 9,498 Posted May 4, 2009 Well. I made a trip from Dereham today and it wasn''t exactly the turn out i expected. I didn''t think the amount that was being bandied about of a few hundred was correct, i thought me might get nearer the hundred mark. 20 or 30 doesn''t quite make that, unfortunately. JJJJ 0 Posted May 4, 2009 It seems people don''t follow any organised plans. We''d organised it today, to meet outside the city stand at 2, and by what people were saying on here it sounded like hundreds of people were going to go, we got a turn out of 30 at most. That was no more than after the Reading game, probably less. It could work if we had one organised weeks in advance, with set banners etc, and everyone being clear about what they''re hoping to achieve.

By involving people with more of a specialist knowledge in football and getting rid of those who, put simply, aren''t good enough then the club can move forward. Also, new investment should be looked for more actively to help clear debts and improve the money available to purchase new players. With regards to management and players, we need a manager with experience in the lower leagues who can then keep the players he feels will do well in League 1, and bring in players who will advance the club. Also, the players need to be contracted, not loaned. I myself don''t know exactly who could achieve all this, but i''m sure there are people who post on here who do, and thats what I mean about needing proper organisation and everyone needing to be clear about their aims, if a large scale protest is organised. Sorry if thats a bit in depth and boring, but thats what I hope to see to get us out of League 1, and for the club to go on from there.

I still think that if enough support for these protests is collected, and if everyone who said they''d go actually went, then they''d be listened to. If not, at least it shows us trying to do something to improve the situation. In fairness, I understand that not everyone agrees that this is the best way forward, however, its up to individuals if they want to join protests etc, get their message across in another way, or take no action at all. JJJJ 0 Posted May 4, 2009 Who should though??I mean, im 17. Not exactly old enough to run anything like this and be taken seriosuly. We need someone older, with a brilliant knowledge of the club and its workings. Also someone who can be respected, or the (sorry for the stupid label) "happy clappers" won''t take any sort of protest seriously.
Flinty 0 Posted May 4, 2009 i think this is a really good idea. unfortuantly i can''t get involved as in sheffield sitting exams in coming weeks.however, if you do manage to get a following together, which i am sure you will, you should contact the press to make sure the board see it (even if the board meeting isn''t there)also, just to make sure (if the press don''t show) someone bring a camera and take loads of photos, to then send to the papers afterwards.good luck with it all.p.s. remember your banners (''delia out'', ''sack the board'' etc)!
