missing in action? 0 Posted May 5, 2009 As far as im concerned, to succeed in league one and to progress as a football club, we need to do a few things.....We need to ditch the rubbish, nigh on every player perhaps, we need to get their wages off the bill and we need to utilise the money we can get in to sign some young promising players. We need to use the youth system to our advantage, we need to bring through more korey smith''s and develop a team, im not going to lie, im thinking over 2/3 years, but at the same time, the investment now will be worth it.We need to invest money into the scouting department, if we can find cody, lets find a few more of them.We need investment in budget from the board (whoever it is) a minimum of 2m needs to be spent on signing young talent. We must not use the loan system, it has been nothing but a curse on us.We shouldnt sign any players over 30. We have a veteran or 2, but any others brought in will just be short term and not an investment for the future. We need to look at the facts, and decide upon a good manager, im in favour of Jackett, Adkins, and gannon. Paul trollope is an outsider, (robins is a risk)We as fans have to support WHOEVER is manager, like them or not.We also have to support the lads for 46 games in a season, then we can give as much abuse as we like. The club needs us as fans, and we need this club for our lives, id not be the same without my drunken saturdays. Im not happy with where the club is, but i still think that with a few good ideas, that are followed through, we can succeed. OTBC
rjwc22 0 Posted May 5, 2009 Sounds like a risky strategem and surely if we wanted to make such wholesale changes we would struggle to bring in an experienced new manager as they would not want their hands to be tied like this.

(should of been clearer)- id keep stefanovic, and doc as the older heads...just an idea mind,
ZLF 271 Posted May 5, 2009 You wont get promoted with youngsters - we need primarily experienced players to escape - while will mean a mix of over 30s with 1-2 potential talent to keep them on their toes. Hopefully deehan can pull another cody out of the bag!
