the day the city died

Recommended Posts

a long long time ago,

i can still remember, how the football used to make me smile.

and i knew that if they got their chance

they could make us fans dance

and maybe we''d be happy for a while.

But January made me shiver

With Roeder gone could Gunn deliver?

bad news on the doorstep

the club couldnt'' take the right step

I can''t remember if i cried

in front of the cameras, in front of Sky

but something touched me deep inside

the day, the City died.

So bye-bye my Championship pie

drove my chevy to the levee but the levy was dry

Them Barclay boys were gave a sad sigh sining "city till we die"

"city till we die"

feel free to write the rest.

jas :)

Today isn''t the day city died, that day was when roeder tore the heart and soul out of the club and the board watched passively. Tonight for me brings heartbreak but with it renewed hope. If we weren''t relegated this season we would have been next with gunn in charge and a lower calibre of loanee than roeder managed to attract.

We''re down but we''re not out. The club we love which has disappeared this season will be back soon enough.

I''m afraid this was going to be next years scenario whatever the outcome. I can''t see anybody else but Gunn being given the job considering how clueless our board are.
