Sammy the best of a very bad bunch

Recommended Posts

He was committed but never passed the ball forward. Tackled hard but created nothing!

Cody ran at defenders but was out of his league!!

Half way through a bottle of Lagavulin and feel like s**t

I don''t know if i agree with the Cody part, Had he not been the victim of some filthy tackles he may well have scored a couple tonight, looks as though he''ll be a handy little player next season regardless of which league we''re in.
Shame he''ll be off in the summer, eh? [:P]

Can you really blame him though? But i suppose we will get 2-3 million for him, so we should have about 250k to spend next year...
Nah don''t blame him at all, Reck. This club is no place for a player with ambition.

Sounds familiar. Thanks secret agent Sammy, I fucking love you for this one day.

Cody McDonald was clearly MOTM. Ran his heart out - and caused Reading some real problems. He rode some pretty nasty tackles and created a lot. He also held the ball up well at times which surprised me - also doesn''t look too bad in the air considering his build!

Well what exactly did he have to work with?

Cody can run with the ball at his feet but without it he doesn''t quite know what he''s doing yet. Alan Lee was often doubled up on. And Gow and Carney offered very little else.

You could see, a lot of times, Clingan was looking for the pass but there just wasn''t enough going on infront of him for anything to happen.

Seeing how he dealt with those tackles made me realise what a key player he''ll be for us next season, he''s gonna get alot of them in League 1.

Agreed! Cody was great, Clingan and I thought otsemebor were good too, but the rest of the team is far to lightweight and weak!! Did not know what to do in the last 3rd of the field!

Sorry but for me Semmy gave their player who crossed the ball for their goal far too much time and space to lay that off.

Otsemobor has been a liabilty this season and his poor defending has cost us a stupid amount of points.

I agree he has not been great all season and im not a fan, but I think he was one of the few who tried tonight especially going forwrd (maybe he is a winger and not a defender!)

I actually said that before the game tonight, Semmy would be a half decent winger IMO.
