ACE 0 Posted April 28, 2009 Whats the point you are making here? Sorry but you dont even say which league this is for. If its league one, you can scrap Docherty and Russell as they will be bought by Champioship clubs, and Stefanovic I suspect will retire if we go down.
--------------Rudd--------------Spillane---Doherty---Dejan---Drury????---Adeyami---Russell---Lappin---------McDonald---Lee-----------Subs: Nelson, Otsemobor, Smith, Martin, Daley
Stephen Hawkings Football Boots 0 Posted April 28, 2009 which championship team would want doc or russell. theyre both league 1 standard at best. as for huckerby hes past it. cant last in games and hasnt scored this season.

Paul Spector 0 Posted April 28, 2009 Team was for League 1 - which even I will admit is looking highly probable now.I think Doc and Russell will stay, however.
ACE 0 Posted April 28, 2009 Sorry but thats nonsense. Are you suggesting if we went down that there are players of their standard knocking around in every team in league one? Both could be decent sqaud players for clubs like Burnley, Palace etc, and as soon as 250k is thrown at them the club will take it.
which championship team would want doc or russell. theyre both league 1 standard at best. as for huckerby hes past it. cant last in games and hasnt scored this season.
Stephen Hawkings Football Boots 0 Posted April 28, 2009 exactly decent squad players, not key players who play week in week out regardless of form. Doc has been one of our better players but gives away too many needless freekicks by grabbing the players from behind, he also makes his fair share of mistakes. As for russell hes been poor all season, little better than fotheringham. has a poor first touch which gets him in to trouble as he feels he has to win the ball back and often gets yellow cards as last night. been sent off to many times and doesnt offer much going forward. as a striker he was worse than cureton. stoke seemed to cope without him
ncfclad 0 Posted April 28, 2009 Declan Rudd (Marshall and Nelson are both shit and Rudd is much better, ive seen all three play)Michael Spillane (POS at Luton in this position, is much more solid than the overrated Otsemobor who cant defend and only makes two runs forward a game)Gary Doherty (Our best defender)Dario Dumic (Probably the best player in our academy, one to watch for next season)Adam Drury (Hopefully can get fit again, Habergham England U19 international from the academy is another with good potential and could be used as back up)New Signing (Josh Dawkin welsh international as back up, another one for the future, someone who actually has pace and takes on players)Darrel Russell (The type of player needed to compete in League One)Korey Smith (U18''s captain could be ready for he first team, didnt look out of place for his brief 15 mins against Wednesday)Simon Lappin (Would prefer to swap with Huckerby)Chris Martin (Scored 13 goals for Luton, I believe could score a similar amount in a league higher with better players)Alan Lee (A must buy at this level, and I think he will come)SubsJed Steer (Suppose to be better than Rudd and we apparently turned down a bid from Chelsea in the past)Jon Otsemobor (Could be useful in league one if he can be asked, maybe worth putting in right midfield)Damon Lathrope (Is the only player left at the squad who can actually pass the ball, maybe a bit lightweight though)Cody McDonald (Will be better used as a super sub where we can use his pace against tiring league one defenders)Danny Kelly (U19 rep ireland international who is highly thought of again in the academy, but still learning)
Stephen Hawkings Football Boots 0 Posted April 28, 2009 its all very well these youngsters competing at u18 and reseveres but can they step up. from what ive seen they all look weak and want too much time on the ball when they are brought in to the full team and league 1 is a tough battling league. ncfclad 0 Posted April 28, 2009 quite frankly we have enough weak players in the current squad. i.e. marshall, otsemobor, bertrand, carney and gow. Declan Rudd, Korey Smith and Dario Dumic in particular I would certainly not call weak.
