missing in action? 0 Posted April 22, 2009 http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_5223463,00.htmlwould he be worth a shot? given our lacklustre strikeforce going into the summer.
GJP 79 Posted April 22, 2009 Guess it depends who else is available to us.But if we couldn''t do better then he''d be worth having.
missing in action? 0 Posted April 22, 2009 well.i wouldnt of suggested but i saw he was possibly available on a freebie and well, that suits our budget perfectly!
Tim Allman 1 Posted April 22, 2009 Nathan Ellington is on massive wages at Watford who are desperate to offload him. He''ll be available to anyone stupid enough to either pay what he wants or help Watford get shot of him and his mega-contract.He defines the word "lacklustre strikeforce" and there''s not a bargepole long enough in the world that we should approach him with. McNamees attitude 0 Posted April 22, 2009 Proven goalscorer at this level and if we do go down ,(touch wood we don''t!) ,would rip apart league one! Would work well if we got Aidy back to the club as gaffer as he was the one who signed him for Watford and know''s how to get the best out of him.
ndhscanary 0 Posted April 22, 2009 We really should avoid him even if he will be free. As people say on here is wages are very high. Watford for some unknown reason wasted £3.5 Million on him and in the two seasons since them for both Derby and Watford he has only scored about nine goals. sgncfc 1,221 Posted April 22, 2009 He is absolute rubbish. Saw him frequently while at Watford - a complete donkey and fans would hate him as he is very lazy.

[/quote]Spot on, a lot of clubs including us are looking to offload players with high wages even if they are decent. There will be a lot of championship level players avaible next season for free.A prime example is Lita who is proven quality at this level yet reading could not get any takers even at a low transfer fee because of wages.A lot of clubs will go with youth to keep the wage bill smaller.
