Yellow Rider 0 Posted April 14, 2009 The boy has been immense since signing on loan and his storming run and shot that crashed against the post was awesome.Problem is with Lee that he gets himself needlesly into trouble and on Sunday MUST control his emotions and temper. Sure he will be ''up for it'' but that''s no good if he gets two yellows, we go down to 10 men, lose the game and he misses the last 2 games!! Take yesterday, ok the booking may have been harsh but even if it was ''shoulder to shoulder'', it was clumsy and a ref will always give the defender the benefit of the doubt in that situation. Lee could easily have been red carded later for a much worse challenge that the ref let go. Had that been on Sunday with 27000 Suffolk fans screaming for blood, he would have been off.Lee can still be physical and commited but without the reckless yellow cards and constant back chat. Sunday is not about Alan Lee putting one over on ITFC, it''s about the future of our club!

Beauseant 0 Posted April 14, 2009 I think you''re spot on LGT. Take the aggression and needle away and you lose half of Lee''s game. I think he''s got a pretty good handle on how far he can go. Like most people I was a little worried when he kept going on after the booking, but after that he still managed to be physical without ever getting on the wrong side of the ref. It''s just good to see a City player putting himself about and upsetting defenders, making Gunny''s decision not to start him against Wednesday even more incomprehensible! Relax![:D]
