The Butler 0 Posted April 19, 2009 I can''t seem to feel sad or angry just numb!I have been waiting for this for several bad seasons watching the team decline on the field and morale decline off it.I have no faith in any aspects at Carrow Road, from an inadequate amature board, through an inadequate well meaning manager to an inept bunch of second rate or loan players. The pitch is in good nick, the ground looks good, we will be welcomed by every lowly team needing an attendance boost. That''s next season, but at present, as I say I just feel dead.[:''(]

WeAreYellows49 0 Posted April 19, 2009 Feel numb too, but then again having resigned myself months ago that we will most likely be relegated, I guess it''s not such a bitter pill to swallow for me as it will be for someone who has kept the faith 100% that we won''t go down. NCFC_Shaun 0 Posted April 19, 2009 I still think we''re going to stay up. I always thought we were going to lose to Ipswich. Having been the last 2 (now 3) years. And I still think Barnsley will go down along with Southampton. If Barnsley lose to Wolves, which is very likely. They are one point better off with no games in hand. Anything could happen. diabolicalmastermind 1 Posted April 19, 2009 I agree it''s been depressingly likely for too long that we will go down. Last season was a lucky escape and this year we are gonna go down it seems. The table doesn''t lie and we have been 3rd worst so far over the season. Barring a miracle it will stay like that and league one here we come. I guess for me more games will be easier to attend if we are in league one as more teams seem to be northern but thats no consolation, do I wana watch dross like we have been serving up on a more frequent basis? Having gone today, I could see how much better we performed and how more ''in'' the game we seemed than we usually do. Therefore, In my opinion, the players did ''get themselves up and raring to go for a derby game''.So at home, with the fans behind them, I think we can grab a win against Reading. I cannot see Barnsley getting a result against Wolves, pushing to get the title confirmed as theirs. So, this is how I think it will turn out.BarnsleyV Coventry - drawV Wolves - lossNorwichV Reading - win. This will put us 1 point above Barnsley going into the last game of the season. I think Barnsley, away from home, will only pick up a point against Plymouth, meaning we can lose to Charlton and stay up on goal difference.

AP16 0 Posted April 19, 2009 Gutted. Somehow I''m still clinging on to the fact that we might stay up though the possibility of that becomes less likely as we show our inconsistency each week. I''m just praying that Barnsley cock it up and we pull two good results out of the bag. Though I''m worried that this has now flattened the players, as well as us fans. I thought they were up and ready to go from the first whistle. Certainly more so than ipswich. Second half we lost the upperhand and they had more of the game. But this happens in all away games. Even when we get beat at home we are usually on top for a part of the game. I felt we were value for a lead at half-time but as usual we didn''t have it. By the end of the game the very least we deserved was a draw. That penalty decision cost us but it won''t be changed so we have to move on. They say those thing even themselves out over a season so we will probably get half a dozen penalties in our final two fixtures. 6 points from them should do it, 4 points could do it. I''m not giving up and am up and ready to go for Monday[Y]

Beauseant 0 Posted April 19, 2009 To be honest I''ve been resigned to relegation for a while, but it doesn''t make the reality any more palatable. Inevitably we are seeing lots of recrimination and blood letting today as we all let off steam, and, of course, its still not not definite. I will pick myself up for next Monday, and, if necessary, for life in League One. What I won''t do is spit my dummy and abandon the club I love. There will be good times again, and I''ll be there for them.

canaryfan68 0 Posted April 19, 2009 Wednesday had a manager in charge though, we have our old marketing manager. That just shows the ignorance of our board, and they keep making the wrong decisions when it is crunch time. The took a year too long to get rid of Worthy, then Grant/Roeder and to cap it all when we are in our most important season for a long while we appoint a ''pure rookie'' and drag one guy from Australia and the other from a good position from up North. Why did we not appoint Boothroyd or go after Davies, because we want to do everything on a shoestring!
