Gentleman Jim

Mooney lookalike ?

Recommended Posts

I think it was the Butler on another thread who said that Mooney and Gow reminded him of Cross and Bone Jim. I tend to agree with that although the added bonus is Cody. Seem we''re spoilt for choice all of a sudden. Let''s hope they can keep it up! [Y]

Of course I''m far too young to remember it[:O]

[/quote]This old timer remembers!!! I was in love with David Cross!!! Went to the Watford game and I bumped into him as he got off the bus......I nearly passed out!!! What fantastic memories. Went to watch a training session at Trowse with my sister who was doing a project on Norwich City F C for the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Got a lift to Trowse in Ron Saunders'' car!!! and all we talked about was Mervyn Cawston the reserve goalkeeper ''cause he lived near us!!! Happy Days

Ok lets pick something you are an expert on "Worthy out"[;)]

It was a play on words CROSS and BORN oh never mind.

I''m celebrating be kind to empty bottles week!!

You have to release empty bottles into the wild. It''s an obscure week known only to a few ancient distillery frequenters.

That was great Nutty, I have lots of memories of that season :-

The 0-0 draw against QPR at Loftus Road, before the game Ron Saunders, as he got off the coach , came over and offered my mate and I tickets for the match, then the most exciting goalless draw I have ever seen, Alan Black kicked everything that moved, even the ball sometimes ha ha, we were in amongst all the QPR fans baying for our blood (no segregation in those days), glad my mate was an intimidating sixteen stoner !

The all important Watford game away, we went by train, there was so many of us that the police escorted us to the ground in absolutely teeming rain, there were no more spaces in the coventional stands so they put us on the uncovered dead flat concrete apron behind a goal, never saw a thing and had to rely again my lofty friend to relate the action. But we were so pleased with the 1-1 result that we never even realised we were soaked to the skin, ha ha. Ah happy days . . . . .
