Recommended Posts

I''ve been led to believe by an insider at Colney (see Bently Bust-Up thread) that Worthington was seen to be "not falling out" with Gary Holt in training on Wednesday. My source tells me that the two were seen to be talking in what was described as "a friendly manner" about how Gary''s children were getting on. He was even rumoured recently to have been seen "having a laugh" with Craig Fleming and "not grabbing" Damien Francis by the throat. If this is true, we should certainly be told. It definitely explains why Worthy has had no qualms about putting the three into the team week in week out. Well, at least its an effort to get some humour into these non-stop claims of players being dropped or frozen out because of some ''bust-up'' or other. Frankly, I think its part of Worthy''s job to be having bust-ups with the players and I don''t really mind if he is.

This isn''t an office they''re working in, its a football team and some people respond quite well to being shouted at or threatened. Just ask Alex Ferguson. I imagine that Man Utd or Aberdeen wouldn''t have been quite so successful if he''d always got on well with everyone.
