I still believe he was brought in to be our manager for next season, as Gunny is only a stand in till end of the season as he has been with and know the players. It would have been even more of a gamble if Ian had have been put in straight away, due to him being out of the scene for so long in outside of the UK. This way he is getting to know the players.

Does anybody really care who does what, as long as it works and the results are right? Football management isn''t rocket science. I see no reason why Gunny should do any worse than an experienced manager - he should know quite a bit about the game by now and the coach''s role (Crook) is probably the most important of all.
