Norwich City board having sleepless nights

Recommended Posts

Doncaster also backed Munby''s clarion call that Norwich will survive in the Championship.“Once

we start talking up relegation as a real possibility then we are

starting to accept it,” he said. “I can assure you no-one at this club

is accepting relegation at all.”

So, is that denial?

With ten games to go I think that is exactly what you would expect a club official to say.  You are in a tough position but you are not currently adrift from the rest of the pack.

[/quote]I guess so Cam, but is it just a proud face rather than a genuine feel around the club? The fans keep shaping and changing, but the important thing is there seems to be a good squad and dressing room spirit. It could well be the thing that makes a difference about us staying up.

I don''t think there is any doubt that they are on edge but, twee though it is, I think you can talk yourself down - or at least it can happen among the players.  I have seen it over the decades.   If you''re dead and gone that is one thing but there''s a fight available here if they are up for it and I think that is what Gunny and Crook are trying to work on.

I just hope that when we do go down these two jokers will take a substantial pay cut. After all we don''t want to reward failure, a la Sir Fred Goodwin

I have no idea what Mr Munby''s remuneration arrangements are but in the case of Mr Doncaster you will have to pay whatever his contract says or, like the managers, pay him off and get somebody else in.

No, not necessarily. Mr Doncaster might opt for a pay cut.

Keeping his post would probably enhance his FA ambitions, whilst the pay cut would be good PR.

Stranger things have happened.

The first rule of relegation is that you don''t talk about relegation...

The second rule of relegation is....

Mr Munby added: “As a business, everything that is being said about the

club is on the retention of our status in the championship.“I believe, we will stay up. And I won''t allow any one in the club to talk about going down.”So IF we go down the board busy burying there head in the sand pretending it''s not happening aren''t even going to be ready for life in league 1? nothing suprises me anymore!

Note 5 on page 20 of the NCFC Plc Annual Report to the 31st May 2008 states:

''Amounts paid to third parties represents amounts paid to SMRC Childwise Limited to compensate them for time spent by R J Munby on football club matters during the year.''

The figure for the year ended 31 May 2008 was £25k.

Neil Doncaster "Unfortunately that is a perception that is wholly different from reality. Peter Cullum made no offer to buy the club at any stage"

Peter Cullum says different and based on Neils previous pack of L##s the day i believe a word you say Mr Doncaster is the day Doris leaves me!!!
