Hardhouse44 289 Posted March 7, 2009 This whole Fotheringham thing is a damming indication of what’s gone wrong with football and Norwich City more so.The guy turns in an inept performance is cheered when he is substituted. Then throws the armband to the ground and storms off down the tunnel. What happens next is the problem with player power and shows what a weak position we as a club find ourselves in. The next thing we hear he is in talks with Preston regarding a loan move. Is the club driven. I’d say no. Whilst I think Fotheringham is a poor excuses for a football at this level with the squad so paper thin I can''t believe the club were looking to off load him on loanClearly the player feels he has be harshly treated by the fans. Boo Hoo. He has the power to dictate that he wants out because of this and we duly oblige. Regardless of the fact that it hasn’t happened I am dismayed that it even came to that and that to power of this player has won out over the club. What should have happened is that he should have be call in early on Monday morning and told by the manage that his behaviour and performance weren’t acceptable. He should have been fined for unprofessional behaviour . Then told to pull himself together get out on that training ground, work his nuts off and make sure the next time you''re subbed you get a standing ovation. Now wipe your mouth and jog on son.!!
