Stone Cold 0 Posted February 28, 2009 We are in the position we are in today due to our poor performance over the whole of this season and a few poor referee performances have in all reality done little to influence this.

The outcome of this game would have been different if the ref had have given either of the two penalty decisions or if he had have correctly produced a red card when Daley was brought down when through on goal. The same is certainly true of the Bristol City game where Doc should not have been sent off and we should have had a penalty. That would be six more points and put us clear of the drop zone with everything to play for. In our current position after today''s results we are all but mathematically down. I can''t see us pulling off what would be a miraculous escape. You can talk all you like about these things evening themselves out over a season but sometimes this is just not true. Syteanric 1 Posted February 28, 2009 we shouldnt have to hope for officials to win us games.. we cant beat teams on our own merits and thats inexcusable.. ok so the ref missed something.. but if we had put the ball in the net with the chances we created it wouldnt of mattered would it?jas :)
NCFCRulz 0 Posted February 28, 2009 Would....... no chap..... Could have been different. Not would. And more than likely Wouldn''t.We get pen and score today to go 2-2. Whos to say Coventry dont step it up, end up winning 5-2 and we get relegated on final day by 2 goals on GD.Bottom line, its all ifs and buts. Yes we have had more bad luck than good luck, but if that bad luck had not have happened there is no reason as to why those results couldnt have actually ended up worse than what they did with the bad luck
