Tom M 0 Posted November 12, 2003 I appreciate that the club can''t take huge financial gambles, but gambling on Hucks surely won''t be the end of City if we don''t go up having signed him on a fat 3 year deal? If we do sign him and he stays fit it would give the club and fans a huge boost both on the pitch and off the pitch. When he first signed I was very impressed with the board for getting him and thought that he would return when his loan finished but having witnessed his impact he has to stay. Some clubs have taken the plunge and gone up and some have ended up in a mess but the fact of the matter is one player can''t make a club go belly up. I know it changes the structure of the wage bill at the club etc but rather than giving up at the first REAL opportunity of going up, DO THE DEAL.
