10 Benefits of Relegation

Recommended Posts

This is in preparation if the dreaded drop materialises...

  1. We get to go to some new grounds
  2. We are a HUGE club in a duck pond
  3. The fact we get relegated might make us cheaper to buy
  4. Psychologically things get sorted in a crisis
  5. Delia might realise that something''s up
  6. We can stop dreaming that next year we might return to The Prem
  7. Our away support might outnumber some home support
  8. We might not have the fear of an annual relegation battle (but there''s no telling there...)
  9. We might actually get into the playoffs...
  10. It''s only football - it''ll be a larf

See, not really the ''dreaded drop'' at all....er....oooh....

i''ve been stearing clear of the pink''un recently due to  the depressing reality of our plight, I am even happy this week that there is no midweek game, it means I can remain stress free every evening this week! But this thread has cheered me up, although some of it is tonuge in cheek I am sure, it also makes a lot of sense.

Although, i''d take more Championship footy anyday!

  1. We get to go to some new grounds  Oh yes well that''s a positive, some right dives.

  2. We are a HUGE club in a duck pond  [:|]

  3. The fact we get relegated might make us cheaper to buy  We will most likely still be in a recession, so no one will want to buy us IMO.

  4. Psychologically things get sorted in a crisis Or they fall apart

  5. Delia might realise that something''s up If she comes out of her bubble she might

  6. We can stop dreaming that next year we might return to The Prem Never gonna happen, always gotta dream and have hopes.

  7. Our away support might outnumber some home support Unlikely, I bet the away numbers soon fall

  8. We might not have the fear of an annual relegation battle (but there''s no telling there...) Depends on what players we have left

  9. We might actually get into the playoffs... Agree

  10. It''s only football - it''ll be a larf  Erm ok [:|]

See, not really the ''dreaded drop'' at all....er....oooh....

On a personal note, it would be good for me. If they stay in Div. 1 I get away trips to Bristol Rovers, Yeovil, Cheltenham & Swindon all close to me.But I still don''t want relegation !

Well fans who wouldn''t go if we got relegated are not true fans in my book. It is irrelevant what division we play in, Norwich will always be my team and so I will always go and support them.

and we lose shed loads of money , lower gates , wont be able to atract good players , and go into administration.... really good idea.

I didn''t realise we would have to be relegated for that to happen.

no im not .

we have lots of games left and we havent been in the bottom three all season .

the last 2 or three games have been against teams in the top six .

i regard myself as a true fan , untill we are mathmatically down i dont give up hope.

okay so we go down and have to rebuild .... dont we have to do that anyway if we stay up considering most of our players are loan players and will go back at the end of the season .

this would be a massive blow to norwich , if we stay in the championship , it looks a better club to buy rather than a first division club.

if fans think we are better off being relegated, why bother going to games .

1 status.

2 . better prospect of selling club

3. bigger gates.

4. more of a chance of getting in the premiership sooner.

5.better players.

6 money from tv ( what little we get)

7 local derby is always a packed house.

8. good for the city .

9. happier fans.

10. better away grounds and facilities in the championship , than div 1

11. better quality football to watch .

If you are old enought to cast your mind back to  remember when we were first relegated in 95. it took 9 years to get back.we are now fastly approaching the end of another relegation battle 10th one in 12 years how long do you think it will take us to get out of League 1,  IMO if we go down the club will fold,  we had 13.000 fans turn up for the fa cup match, Tickets £10 and less for oap''s and Kids. I predict that the top tiers will close, (LACK OF FANS) we will be lucky to get around 10.000 just look at the gate figures for league 1, and how many away fans do you expect to see in the Library THANK YOU DELIA, YOU ARE TO BLAME
