Dr. Ink 0 Posted February 13, 2009 I''m worried we will be following the Southampton pattern next season (assuming we stay up). With Clingan and Croft (despite a likely new contract) being courted by the Prem they will leave this summer for fees we cannot turn down. This may annoy other players such as Fozzy and Hoolahan who will not want to be with a club with no ambition. A lot of loanees returned to sender will leave us very short of numbers. The youngsters will have to be given a chance next season. This looks very much like the Southampton of the last couple of seasons, first Walcott, then Bale, and the best of the others (I cannot remember) have left the club. Southampton were forced to rely on their youngsters, but at this stage of their careers have not proved to be adequate to stay in this division. The things we have going for us, are the loyal fans still turning up in numbers, and the ownership of Carrow Road. Worrying times ahead though!
