PhatCanary 0 Posted February 16, 2009 We must be brave - Fotheringham Fotheringham''s Canaries contract expires in JuneNorwich City captain Mark Fotheringham has said his team-mates need to be brave in their fight against relegation from the Championship. City''s defeat at Preston on Saturday has left them just two points and two places above the drop-zone. He told BBC Radio Norfolk: "It takes brave men, it takes men who''re willing to go out and fight for the jersey. "It''s unfortunate we are in the position we are, we''ve had a very up-and-down season." After fighting their way to safety from rock-bottom last season, Fotheringham said the squad are well prepared for the battle. "We need to continue to work hard for each other, be brave and show confidence in each other and keep believing we can get ourselves out of the situation we''re in. "We''ll concentrate on getting a few wins and getting the belief back, cause we were on not a bad little run," he added.
gazzathegreat 0 Posted February 16, 2009 Message to Mr Gunn. Could you please ensure that Mr Fotheringham is gagged for the rest of the season. We have had more than enough of these empty platitudes by the players in the press.Action rather than words in the future, please.
Paul Spector 0 Posted February 16, 2009 No doubt if he says nothing you would criticize him for being a captain that never speaks out and rallies the troops etc.
Belinda Carlisle 0 Posted February 16, 2009 Worse. He speaks out, but doesn''t rally the troops.
gazzathegreat 0 Posted February 16, 2009 No Lappin, I wish they would all just keep their thoughts to themselves. Fotheringham in particular. He talks the talk, but alas......

I am not interested in what they say, it''s what they do and actually achieve on this pitch that''s important...... especially now and over the coming weeks. First Wizard 0 Posted February 16, 2009 Does anyone actually believe these desperate rallying calls?............if so, I''ve yet to hear of about it.

whoareyou? 0 Posted February 17, 2009 It would help if we saw more of this fighting spirit on the pitch! How about taking the attitude that we will NOT let the opposition win!
