Ole 0 Posted February 5, 2009 According to http://www.nettavisen.no/sport/fotball/tippeligaen/article2529149.ece (Nettavisen - link is in Norwegian), Steffen Iversen spoke to Norwich.Firstly, Norwich''s bid was far too low. I think it was around £250 000. Rosenborg wanted much more. "The bid was so low, it wasn''t even worth discussing", said one of the board members in Rosenborg. Secondly, Iversen (32 years old), doesn''t think he can manage 40+ games a season anymore. Now Iversen plans to finish his football carreer in Rosenborg. He wants to live in England after that, but he insists "I have never said I want to finish my carreer in England". If you ask me though... I think Iversen wanted to move to Norwich, and this is just something he tells the media after Rosenborg turned Norwich''s bid down.
Budapest Canary 152 Posted February 5, 2009 We already have two 30+ strikers of somewhat questionable fitness/ability. Paying over the odds (5-700k?) for a third one doesn''t sound a wise move nor would it have been much of an investment.
Joanna Grey 0 Posted February 5, 2009 It''s not worth worrying about, we don''t need him anyway.
