Matt Morriss 69 Posted February 5, 2009 A few months ago things werent looking good. At the start of the season we had no strikers, couldnt score and were losing matches.Hoolahan looked nothing like the player he was meant to be, and the talk was we have no quality, cant score, cant win and were going down.February 2009 is looking like its going to be so different from back then. We now seem to have an abundance of quality and the latest deliberation is who plays left wing. The quality we have there now is superb.Hoolahan has looked pure class recently, the goal v Southampton was magnifcent. Whenever Pattison has come on he has looked great. Carney plays agaisnt Wolves and has a cracker. The left wing dilemma for Gunn is great news for the club, considering it was only a short time ago that we were rueing the loss of Hucks and looked so one dimensional with Croft being the only effective attacking outlet we had. king canary 7,577 Posted February 6, 2009 The squad was certainlly full of ''enigma'' type players. Under Roeder I think I saw at least 6 or 7 players have amazing individual performances, but never at the same time and never regualrly. Gunns main challenge is to get consistency and get them working as a unit.
