Yellowfuture 71 Posted January 28, 2009 We`ve been living on credit for years and now the chickens are coming home to roost. Premier League, best in the world and all that, full of Foreign pllayers, exciting but only temporary. The National team has been suffering for years from all the imports and now we can see some light, home grown players will soon have the chance to make a name for themselves and thank God for that. Perhaps the success of National side will one day be seen again as the pinnnacle of a footballers aspirations, lets get rid of the mercionaries and get back to the real game. Bring it on!!!!!!!!! Yes, it''d be lovely to see the England team do well but nobody would rather their club team suffered for the gain of the national team woudl they?

Globalisation is failling as an economic model and the knock on effect for the UK will be devastating. We had better get used to the fact that the good times are gone and eventually that will knock on to football. The current generation of fans have only experienced a game financed by big bucks, that will channge IMO, who knows what the future holds but there are big changes ahead. I`m not saying "lets get rid of the foreign players" Mook, but I am saying the big buck days are going and the likes of Robino et al will dissapear from the UK. The Fish Seller 0 Posted January 29, 2009 There was an interesting post on here a few days back remarking that since the Japanese Leagues ran out of money and could no longer afford to import ageing foreign superstars and had to revert to using home grown players football standards in Japan have actually improved not worsened.
