ca 1 Posted January 31, 2009 I think we need at least 21 pts from these games which would give us 52 points. If my predictions are right we''ll end up on 51 pts which could be very borderline and I''ve been a bit optistic in a couple of games.Whats your thoughts?Tue Feb 3 Wolves A LoseSat Feb 7 Bristol City H DrawSat Feb 14 Preston A LoseSat Feb 21 Burnley H WinSat Feb 28 Coventry H WinTue Mar 3 QPR A LoseSat Mar 7 Blackpool A DrawTue Mar 10 Cardiff H DrawSat Mar 14 Plymouth H WinSat Mar 21 Birmingham A Lose Sat Apr 4 Sheffield Wed H Win Sat Apr 11 Swansea A LoseMon Apr 13 Watford H WinSun Apr 19 Ipswich A Draw Sat Apr 25 Reading H LoseSun May 3 Charlton A Draw

england1966 0 Posted January 31, 2009 next five games can see us picking up 10pts... yeah between 50 -54 points should be enough... can''t see us losing anymore home games... even v reading. can see us beating blackpool and charlton away!30pts from last 16 games... us on easily safe!!!! ricardo 8,033 Posted January 31, 2009 19 will be enough because there will be 3 teams below 50 points this season.Charlton (certs) and perm any 2 from 15th place downwards.
blahblahblah 2 Posted January 31, 2009 50 points will more than likely be for 18th position than 21st this season. I certainly can''t see Watford or Southampton getting 7 wins from the rest of the season. It should be our minimum target though - and with a centre back, the new boy Killen (who was scoring for fun at Hibs), and some dogged determination to grind out results, it should be easily possible. I am not including the last game Charlton away. Homes games will produce 4 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats ( 14 points ). Thats a total of 49 points ( oh dear ). That means I think it will all go down to the last game of the season, and when was the last time we won in London ? 2003 ?[:(]
Binky 0 Posted January 31, 2009 Have made this point before - inboth 2005/6 and 2006/7 just 43 pts would have ensured survival. Thatcould mean we need just 12 more pts from the 16 games remaining. Butthat would apply to a lot of clubs and just one point could decide it. Personally I think any club with 46 pts will be safe this year..

Yorkshire Canary 118 Posted February 1, 2009 Normally 46 to 48 points is enough. I think only once in the last 20 years has a side gone down with 50 and that was on goal difference. at the moment we have one ogf the bests GDs. 18 to 19 points for us should be good enough
NorwichRat 4 Posted February 1, 2009 Based on last two games we are going down.Should have kept Roeder till end of season - stupid weak board.
