Worthy was approached for the job until the end of the season

I am not sigining in under my usual login for obvious reasons.

Worthy was approached, with the offer of a £500k bonus if Norwich stay up.

This came from Worthy himself.

We knew this already (minus the £500k embellishment).

Worthy was not approached directly, the club asked the Irish FA for permission to speak re. offering him the job part time whilst continuing as Northern Ireland manager.  Irish FA checked it out with Worthy who wasn''t interested and they issued a statement refusing permission.

See Camuldonum''s thread "The facts as far as the Irish FA are concerned"
