Tetteys Jig 851 Posted January 22, 2009 Have they got any good players we should be looking at, i remember this time last year, someone suggested Shawcross, and now look at him! Obviously welbeck, Fabio... but what about the less well known ones, like shawcross last year, any hidden jems? that James Chester seems to be a feature for them sometimes, despite him being just 17, injuries and that. KeiranShikari_2 0 Posted January 22, 2009 Darren Gibson or Fabien Brandy should be able to play at this level chester is the reserves captain i think. keiran
Tetteys Jig 851 Posted January 22, 2009 Gibson is still at wolves i think, Brandy was mooted a couple of years ago, we lost out to swansea for his signature, and he was rubbish for them in getting promoted. Might be good now tho.
Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted January 22, 2009 Gibson was only at Wolves last season, started both legs of the semi against Derby, with them competing in all competitions i doubt they can let him out
Sheffield uni Canary 0 Posted January 23, 2009 Danny Welbeck looks a good player, but he might be able to already play at a higher standard of footy towards the top of the championship
Tetteys Jig 851 Posted January 23, 2009 he''s played 1 premiership game, allbeit he scored, but his real chance of a loan will come from a championship club or Stoke, now that West Brom and Hull are sorted. He might wanna stay if he''s needed in the carling cup final tho
mighty yellow 0 Posted January 23, 2009 I live with a United season ticket holder, and I unfortunately happen to watch a lot of United. Most of the players mentioned are well out of our league.Danny Welbeck is now a part of the first team, for this season at least. He won''t be coming.Fabio won''t be coming, his brother is in the first team, and there is no way Ferguson will let an 18 year old Brazilian come here, he could do with a bit of low pressure reserve football I reckon.I know nothing about James Chester, he seems like a possible suggestion, although you could probably argue as reserve captain he is getting as good experience as here...Darron Gibson is well below the pace of United''s first team and could also be an option. Not rated by the majority of United fans, and not expected to make it.I don''t think any other United reserves meet the level we require, we''ve had enough top flight reserves already, just because they''re at United doesn''t make it any better. If bringbackchippy is right, and I think he is, we won''t need to worry about United reserves.OTBC
