Attn 1st wizard - give it a rest on the Gunn bashing, the guys a legend.

Recommended Posts

I know he probably shouldn''t get the job, but there''s plenty of candidates out there, who I would rather have Gunny in over. The guy has been with us for 22 years and should be treated with legendary status, who has just produced the best display of the season and in one fell swoop brought club and fans back together again, Carrow Road was electric on Saturday.

i agree the constant posts are getting a bit tedious, however he''s not gunn bashing. wizard himself has admitted that he regards gunn as a legend, he just feels strongly against appointing him as manager, and I can see his points! (several times)

He is just concerned that he may be chosen as next manager after Saturdays result and he doesn''t want him to be.

Nah Wiz has every right to voice his opinion, I would dread it if Gunn became our manager just because he''s a legend doesn''t give him the right to walk into the role as manager.

He had a good game on sat but that was luck to be honest.

Wiz has every right to voice an opinion, it''s just a shame that he seems to take such delight in causing unecessary controversy with his often ridiculous ramblings. I''m totally convinced that he does it solely to keep up his almost mythical status on this board - half the time he probably doesn''t even believe in what he''s saying either!
Luck? What do any of us know about Gunn''s ability as a coach/manager........nothing so i don''t really see how anyone can comment. All we can possibly judge him on is one game and we won that 4-0. I say give him till the end of the season.

Thanks for pointing that out kaiman, I have no problem with the legend coaching, in fact, I stood 6ft behind him in the Barclay when he was making himself a legend............but manager? no thank you!.

4 posts on the subject, angry red faces to boot, give the big man a break, if he feels he wants to apply, let him and if the board think he''s the best applicant then support him. If anyone deserves a bit of support from the fans it''s Gunny.

I actually agree he should not be appointed but we could do a whole lot worse.
Has Gunny got any coaching qualifications?.
Yes tribes, B badges I think.............Neil Adams is the highest ranked coach at City.
Now that''s a thought. Mr Adams moving up the ladder if he can manage over 10''s now GR has gone. Gunny''s isn''t just for goalies is it?. So at least we have people at club who can coach properly. Everything is looking much brighter.

By the way does anyone know what happened to the large fitness person, he wasn''t on the pitch Saturday.

Presumably Roeder had qualifications so that in itself must say something.

I would still prefer a more experienced manager though to Gunn, Saturday''s result may have been good but we are still up to our necks in a relegation battle and a wiser old head is called for.
I was thinking of Gunny in a coaching role. Would also prefer an experienced manager in place for the relegation battle ahead.
