Aidy Boothroyd to be announced as manager tomorrow!

Unless he has changed his mind following your fine win, I don''t think Gunny wants to get involved full time.  I am sure he will be there whenever you need him but, fine keeper as he was, I think he wants to stay being a "legend" and hopefully will stay out of the Managerial race.

As well as being a very nice bloke he''s also quite smart we believe this end.

"He''s got no hair but we don''t care" shrewd?  We think so.

Assistant? May be.  Hot seat?

No.

Much smarter than the average bear than people give him credit for.

His comments in today''s piece seem to back that up.  He''s smart enough to know his capabilities and his limitations.

Passing on Sir Alex''s advice to the team I thought was brilliant.

He obviously hated telling Omosuzi that he wasn''t playing and he''d have to do that all the time as manager.

He''s a smart guy who is Norwich City through and through.  GET HIM ON THE BOARD PRONTO!

Hi all

Out of the potential Managers being talked about these are my gut feelings:

  1. Mark Robbins,  not done much at Rotherham so no
  2. Colin Calderwood...just look at Forest under him...no way
  3. Paul Ince... maybe, achieved at this level
  4. Adrian Boothroyd , only if we want to play bruttes footaball, may help us in this league but no further....so no
  5. Jimmy Calderwood....maybe, currently manager of a bigish club
  6. Bryan Gunn....not yet but maybe assistant
  7. Mark Bowen, Yes but will never leave Man City
  8. Ian Crook, a novice but maybe
  9. Others.....I hope not

I conclude that I would be happy with either Ince, Bowen, Crook or Jimmy Calderwood, any of the others and we are in trouble
