Mister Chops 7 Posted January 19, 2009 The odds have come down from Oddschecker, too.Though this made me laugh...http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/leyton-orient-specials/next-permanent-manager

William Darby 0 Posted January 20, 2009 It''s not certain IMO, maybe he''s had an interview, and his family has stuck a big bet on.... maybe. Interesting Age isn''t even in the betting as well
James Kent 0 Posted January 20, 2009 Massive movement for Curbs from 66/1 to 16/1.
er indoors 0 Posted January 20, 2009 I wouldn''t read anything in to Curbs moving from 66-1 to 16''s it wouldn''t take much money at all to do that in this market
James Kent 0 Posted January 20, 2009 I just find it interesting because I wouldn''t have thought we had any chance of getting him.

er indoors 0 Posted January 20, 2009 Me neither but if a couple of people saw 66-1 and thought it''s got to be worth a small punt the bookies would cut it to protect themselves incase it was inside info. I think we all know Curbs will only come back to a premier league club.

er indoors 0 Posted January 20, 2009 The bookies love this sort of contest, they get a small amount on a big outsider cut the odds sharply and get a load more people piling in because they think someone somewhere''s in the know. They''ve probably taken a lot of money on Boothroyd and Ince just because they are the front runners but they know based on recent Norwich appointments that it''s just as likely to be someone who''s not even in the betting lists!!! It''s no surprise when you go in a bookies there are 3 windows that say "bet here" and 1 that says "pay out"!!
James Kent 0 Posted January 20, 2009 Curbs now 7/1!
lincoln canary (& Golden Coppel) 0 Posted January 20, 2009 http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/norwich-specials/next-permanent-manager 9-2 here!! curbs to be manager!!
a1canary 0 Posted January 20, 2009 If you were Doncaster or the board, wouldn''t it be tempting to stick a bucket load on the next manager when you know who it''s going to be!?Curbishley to 9/2 is very significant. This happened with Grant also.
loz h 0 Posted January 20, 2009 a1canary the wouldn''t do that now would they?
a1canary 0 Posted January 20, 2009 Well, so long as they got someone else to do it for them...!But i guess you have to get the whole board in on it, otherwise if you''re Doncaster and you want Boothroyd but the rest of the board go for Curbishley you''d be stuck! Yes, that''s what you do, you get the whole board in on it, place a whole load of bets down on Souness at 80-1, appoint him, and give him the winnings to spend on players. Then even he could get us up. He got Blackburn up after all!
a1canary 0 Posted January 20, 2009 200k at 80-1 would give you 16 MILLION! I''m liking this idea more and more!
