Xavi- Poor Mans Ian Crook

Bell and Otsemoboor

Recommended Posts

Both of these players are in my opinion two of the worst players i have witnessed playing for norwich. Jono looks like he doesn''t care, he doesn''t know what to do with the ball or without the ball. Last night Lloyd Sam tore him apart all night.Bell looks like he cant be bothered he thinks he is david beckham. but he can''t pass 4 yards let alone 40.Some people might know how much i thought it was the right time for Hucks to go and when he left we were moving forwards. However much it pains me i would rather have him back than Bell. These two are an absolute disgrace and are not worthy to wear the yellow and green.

Why would that pain you? Hucks is a norwich city legend

Its clear that Bell and in particular Otsemobor are vastly underperforming, that is down to Roeder. Its his job to motivate and get the best out of his players. Its not just them two, you can look across the whole squad for players who arent performing.Look at it from the players point of view. Theyve got 25000 on there backs the second they make a mistake, and they play for a manager who criticises them when they play well, drops them after they play well, and a manager who clearly has now lost the dressing room. There''s only a few players at the club who will perform regardless of the manager problems, they wont let it affect there performance, Doherty, Croft etc. But most other players rely on the manager''s input. Its the Roeder Effect Fab, nothing else.

The Roeder effect would be playing badly without confidence, but these two in particular are on the pitch and do not look like they are caring. They look like they are out there to pick up their wages and nothing else. People like Andy Hughes and Foz might be rubbish but they give 100% every game but not trying is something i can''t stand in a professional player.
Bell is a half hearted player and it looks like Luton was his rightful place.
You could be right there, there''s no doubting he puts in a fantastic cross and his set play delivery is something we havent had for years, but i do think he''s lacking other qualities.Having said that he does have an ankle problem and no doubt Roeder''s got to to him like only Roeder can.

He has done maybe 4 good set pieces and a few good corners since he has

been here. Hardly the dead ball specialist that people have claimed he

is. He recent form has seen him putting in fewer and worse balls in

than croft who gets so much stick for his final ball.

What does Bell offer that Lappin couldn''t? His delivery and set pieces are equally as good.

And don''t get me started on that half-wit Otsemobor...

I read on the boards quite recently that Bell''s ankle has not entirely cleared up, so we have still to see the best of him, I think - possibly next September in Division 1, unless he''s one that we have to sell off!

It was interesting reading Glenns post match comments:

http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter.com/full_article.asp?i=4443

Semmy, Drury, Bertrand, Hoolahan, Bell and cort were all injured or ill last night. that meant we started with 7 out of 11 fit players and then brought on injured players. Its not entirely Glenns fault but not playing Lappin or patty on the left is bizarre. We know we need a striker so why does he not recalling Cureton. its set up for him to score for us against Barnsley on Saturday.

If the team were that ill start people like Lappin or Russell those that haven''t played recently, even give the youth team a go. Although from what i hear the youth team aren''t very good but them losing would have been less embarrasing and gives them some valuable experience.

Bells a right footed, right sided midfielder/winger am i right?

Yet has seems to be played soley on the left wing - where he can only do one thing, cut inside & attempt to cross. I know this, you do, so im guessing opposition managers do.

makes it easier to play against him doesn''t it. - just guide him down the touchline where he can''t cross (without it being rubbish) with his left foot and can''t come onto his right because there is a defender there.

I think you''re right to criticise their recent form, but overall they are both decent players.
We''ve all seen it in them both. In my mind I think Roeder has really badly altered their game. They play the way he wants, and not to their strengths.

Also, it wouldn''t be any kind of surprise to me if they just couldn''t get motivated to play for that idiot.
He''s making Bell play with an injured ankle which I''m sure Bell would prefer to have sorted. He''s playing him out of position and there''s a lot of responsibility being lumped on his shoulders for a player much less than 100% and out of natural position.

Otsemobor is a good attacking full back. Granted, he can''t defend. Seems to me that Roder has told him to stop overlapping Crofty because he leaves too many holes in the defense that way. By doing that, Roeder has completely ruined Semmy''s best quality.

It all points to shocking man management skills.

They''re both okay in my opinion. I rate Bell quite highly but the two things he has going against him is being played out of position constantly and the fact he''s more of a ''luxury player''; someone you have in an already-good squad to give it a little more dimension. Sadly it doesn''t work in a relegation scrap.

Why do you "rate Bell quite highly"?

I''m just interested to know really, since he''s been here he''s done very little to impress.
