Aage Hareide - speculation from Norwegian papers...

Recommended Posts

Norwegian paper Aftenbladet has an article "Norwich would be very exciting", and Nettavisen says "Hareide to England?"Links: http://fotball.aftenbladet.no/england/article126296.ece and http://www.nettavisen.no/sport/fotball/england/article2504359.ece Further it says: "The Norwich job tempts Hareide" and then something about Roeder leaving etc...Sorry, I don''t have time for a full translation right now, but the article also says that there has been no contact yet between Hareide and Norwich regarding the manager job.

-Ole, Norway.

He could bring Erik Fuglestad back with him. Maybe Ulf Ottoson as well, to sort out our striker problem!

Now you go to a trainer position in England for molde holder.Wednesday was that Glenn Roeder fired as Norwich manager. Hareide tempted by the vacant job.- This is very fresh, and I have not been in contact with Norwich. At the same time, it had been a very exciting job. Although it is a long time since I played there, I know well the people in and around the club, "said Hareide to Aftenbladet.no.Hareide has previously played in the championship series of the club from 1982 to 1984. The Norwegian has therefore built up a good reputation in the club.- I''ve been over many times as a guest after I left the club, but now we will see what happens. It is guaranteed many names that will be mentioned in connection with the vacant job, "said Hareide.Norwich has struggled in recent seasons, but after Roeder was appointed in October 2007 was a club up and saved space in the second English top division. But the job that klubbtrener in England is a strong pressure job, and when the results did not go the way this season, Roeder had to thank for it.Now it may go against American leadership in Norwich.

I have translated the article from Nettavisen on a translation website

Ã…ge Hareide drew her at facts Norwegian landslaget in December. Now able facts elapse against a trenerstilling in England for moldenseren. Wednesday getting because Glenn Roeder the boot as Norwich - the manager. Hareide tempt at it disengaged job. This am awfully new , and I''ve no matter been in contact along with Norwich. At the same owned facts been a awfully absorbing job. Although it is a long time since I acted there , connoisseur I be comfortable at people in and around club , say Hareide at Aftenbladet.no. Hareide has a prior played in mesterskapsserieklubben at 1982 at 1984. The Norwegian has accordingly build up her a be comfortable rumour in club. I''ve been above a lot of times as caller after that I left club , but now getting we see whatever happen to. It is the assured a good many appellation as shall be mentioned consecutive with the disengaged job , say Hareide. Norwich has threadbare they lastly season , but after that Roeder became employed in October 2007 getting club a absorb and bail out ads in it nest on top english division. But job as klubbtrener in England am a loud pressure job , and as accomplishments no matter stepped autobahn this season have got to Roeder resign. Now able facts elapse against Norwegian administration in Norwich.

I see what you mean.  Here''s an extract from one comment - not sure what torpederet means but seems pretty explosive!  And reference to disability benefit after working in the UK.  Glad to see football fanaticism travels well around the world!  Fraeining is probably a swear word given it''s not translated.

"If the allegation that it was he who torpederet RBK, among others, to kick Skammelsrud, even este midfield strategist of the team. Ja, reis gjerne til GB og kom hjem for Ã¥ søke om uføretrygd. Yes, feel free to go to GB and came home to apply for disability benefit. FRÆNING!!! FRÆNING!

That comment was made from an Molde fan, the rivals of Rosenborg. Hareide had great success as Rosenborg manager, about 10 years after he left Molde... That can for some people be the same as going from Ipswich to Norwich... Hareide failed as manager for Norway, but he is still a respected club manager. However, I don''t think Norwich will get Hareide as manager. It would be very interesting though, and he has close relationships with some top quality Swedish clubs and players, which in no doubt would benefit the club. A better translation:"This (sacking of Roeder) happened today, and I have not been contacted by Norwich. It would be an interesting job, but it''s a long time since I played there. I''ve been over many times as a guest after I left the club, and I know some people in and around the club. There will surely be many candidates for the job mentioned in the media the following days."One other article (from www.vg.no) says that Hareide was mentioned as a possible candidate for the Norwich job in 2006. Then Hareide is quoted: "I have spoken to the club earlier (2006), but at that time I wanted to finish the World Cup qualification with Norway". Hareide is in no rush finding a new job, but he says "if something interesting shows up, I will grab the opportunity".
