Salopian 1 Posted January 15, 2009 What''s wrong with Worthington? He spent and wasted buckets of money. I forget the money he got through, but it was in excess of £14 million, which is probably the main reason for our present huge debt. Grant and Roeder had only a small fraction available. He may he gained promotion to his and to virtually everyone else''s surprise, but he had Hux and others, and he could not repeat the impetus of promotion year. His last year or so were dire, his thinking confused and his comments repetitive and unenlightened.Do I need to say more? Lambo 0 Posted January 15, 2009 TBH i wouldn''t mind too much if we did re-appoint him although my first choice is Darren Ferguson.Other than that there''s not too many that were any different to Worthy at the end of their last jobs and probably didn''t have the points and win ratio of Nig either. grantroederdisaster 0 Posted January 15, 2009 Used goods and you should never go back! Was a great manager until he started making mistakes in the Premiershi season and lost the plot in the end and should of went a year before he did! The board are more crazy than I thought! The Norwitch 0 Posted January 15, 2009 He had a OK 40% win ratio (won 2, lost 3) at Leicester but didn''t get the job even though he kept them from relegation.Which available manager has got the biggest? (win ratio?)
blahblahblah 2 Posted January 15, 2009
I NEVER SAID I WANTED BOTHROYD??? d.ferguson, robins or tilson for me
Why on earth not ? Boothroyd has actually had some success at this level. Ferguson might have a successful dad, but he''s done nothing much yet. Tilson ? Promoted with Southend, relegated with Southend, 14th now with Southend. Robins, again, doing well where he is, cuold be a 1 season wonder, might not know how to operate in the championship. We need an appointment that has success at this level. ZLF 271 Posted January 15, 2009 Whats wrong with worthy?Yesterdays man - never return is my mottoStarted the club trend of by appalling players despite spend more money on players than any other manager in city history However he can generate a team spirit; but probably not in 4 months + 19games
