MisterCarrow 0 Posted January 4, 2009 I cannot believe the amount of away cup ties which keep getting drawn out of the bag. It''s a disgrace!Since 2000/01 season we have been drawn away 9 times out of a possible 13 in the FA cup and 11 times out of a possible 16 in the league cup. This totals to a staggering 20 out of 29 games (not including replays or 2 leg games)This surely cannot be luck can it?It is not really helping our finances, I know its a 50/50 split in terms of gate receipts but what about the lost revenue for all the other aspects of match day. Largey 0 Posted January 4, 2009 What else is it going to be other than bad luck?''...Oh lets make the fans of little old Norwich travel hundreds of miles each season in the cups, perhaps they can rectify their poor away form somehow...''
MisterCarrow 0 Posted January 4, 2009 Obviously it is luck, I didn''t really mean that as a question, just a blinkered thought. When your team is in the doldrums in just seems that EVERYTHING is conspiring against you, even cup draws.Lets hope as many people turn up as possible, the club needs the money and as fans we need to to support in times of need. A victory and an away day in Sheffield could give us some money for more loans!!!
Minster Canary 0 Posted January 4, 2009 When the going gets tough, all the fifty fiftys go against you, always is the case. I''m sure if we were top of the league five points clear we''d get that home tie vs Kettering!

pete_norw 0 Posted January 5, 2009
away draws are a good thing so stop complaining
Unlike Chelski last two seasons had most of thier games at home now they have a really hard home game with the binnes
Sir Daz
Sir Daz 0 Posted January 5, 2009 I make that about 69% away draws.I''m no statistician but if it was luck i would expect it to be 50-50. Such an away bias appears significant to me. Fergie has recently complained about premiership fixtures and will be sending a representitative to see how they are compiled.I suggest we do the same for the cups.To do well in the cups you need a bit of luck and a good draw just ask france or milwall. Maybe our poor cup record is not solely our own fault.
lincoln canary (& Golden Coppel) 0 Posted January 5, 2009
away draws are a good thing so stop complaining
you obviously didnt go to the chelsea home game in 2002 ( playoff season ) we drew 0-0 but played them off the park but just couldnt score. the atmoshpere that day was brilliant, id take that over away ties anyday of the week. we lost the replay 4-0 by the way with zola scoring that crap tap in
