a1canary 0 Posted August 6, 2004 i don''t mean to be negative with all the good news and excitement coming out of CR that i''m really feeling at the moment, but we''ve always been rubbish at throw ins, and now we''re in the prem, it''s going to be even more important we don''t throw the ball away everytime we get one. I was hoping to see some improvement when i went to the cambridge game but there wasn''t much. Don''t we practice them in training? Every time we get one we just seem to lob it aimlessly down the line, in either direction, and lose it. Anyone else noticed this?
Canary Tyke 0 Posted August 6, 2004 Not negative, but constructive criticsm through observation.I''ve noticed it as well, lob it down the line try for a flick on and then get on the defensive because we''ve lost the ball. Its not just throw ins but in alot of our play we don''t seem to have any movement so don''t find any free space and it all gets a bit condensed. Sounds silly I know but i think we also play the ball to feet too much instead of balls for people to run on too. If you play it to feet you have to zip it into something, we tend to just tap it
