Bobert 0 Posted December 30, 2008 Its very sad for anyone who wants to work to be without a job but Glen I think you need to do the decent thing and admit you got it wrong. Say you are "Sorry" to the fans, to the Board and to your wife and children and admit that as a Manager todays Championship is beyond you. The stress is too great and you just could not get the players you wanted for your team. Its nothing to be ashamed of...... someone has always got to loose! Most of us get promoted beyond our level of competance. Most of us apply for jobs we cannot do all that well. Some of us have enough sense to get off the bus!Loosing a game 2-3 before the biggest home crowd of the season with all the goals being scored by the winners makes fans, team, club and manager look more than a little silly.Yes Glen...... get off the bus like Paul Jewell and Roy Kean. Maybe find a job at a lower level. Don''t be pushed.......walk away maybe with a couple of months pay in your pocket (which will be more than the Woolworths managers are getting!) and take the thanks of all of us for beating Ipswich. Scot-e-dog 34 Posted December 30, 2008 Falling on your sword takes 2 things from a person:1) A sense of realism about the situation you are in2) Personal integrity that helps you make the right decisionSadly Roeder:1) Lives in Roederland, where2) Every decision Glen Roeder makes is the right one and everyone else is wrong.or in other words:1) Roeder really doesn''t understand the situation he is in, and2) He has absolutely no integrityDon''t hold your breath.PS: I''m not convinced Keane ''fell on his sword'' - Keane did what Keane does best, which is look after Roy Keane
