1) Carlos Edwards to Barnsley for a record fee of £2m. Jamie Cureton will be one of two Strikers brought into the club as he is hitting form at just the right time and Norwich will be securing the permanent signing of Reading''s Leroy Lita. The fee for Cureton is thought to be in the region of £500.000 – £750.000. The other striker is thought to be Aaron Mclean from Posh or David Connolly from Sunderland. Davey is also looking out for a left sided defender to help a possible push for the Play–Offs. Heinz Muller is unfortunately going to be on his way to Portsmouth as David James will be moving to Tottenham, the fee is thought to be around the £3m mark.

2)  Noises coming out of Norwich suggest that Roeder''s days are numbered.

This is a real surprise as previously the board had wanted to give him as much time as possible (one reason being the cost of sacking him, but not necessarily the main one).

The board appear to have finally got fed up with his arrogant posturing and inability to get results from a squad that is costing well over budget to maintain. The board wanted a manager who can get the best from a tiny budget and make the whole much greater than the parts.

The primary fear of members of the board is that a drop to Division 1 (now seen to be a likely outcome of this season if results do not improve) will make their investment practically (if not totally) worthless. They are scared.

A couple of rumours down in Shrewsbury indicate that Roeder might be trying to capture the Town captain Ben Davies who is out of contract in the summer
