That was being rather optimistic for myself. This is the most I can see us getting and it should keep us from the drop. 29 more points.

You said it Shaun - Optimistic

youve gone for Home form: Win 6, Draw 3, Lose 1

Away form win: 1, draw 5, lose 4

Therefore only losing 5 of the remaining 20 games.

Hope your right though, shouild keep us in the division!
How many points do people think we need to stay up? I cant remember what was needed in the past? 50?
I am sure that Neil said we need 50 and over so that we are completely safe.

But where those extra points will come from I don''t know TBH.

26 more points, leaving a total of 52.

In 2004-05, you needed 51 to survive. 05-06, 50 was enough. 06-07, 49 stayed up, but last year, Leicester got 52 and still went down. It will be close.

It must be just me, but I can''t see us going down. Don''t know why. I still think we have some good players at the club, just a cr*p manager and a board that is unwilling to do anything to help the mess we are in.

That said, I don''t think we will lose many games at home. We have a fairly easy run-in of home games from now until the end (with the exception of Cardiff and Reading). Our away form will be our downfall though.

Totally unpredictable. I mean, how could a team that beat Wolves lose (at home) to a managerless Notts. Forest? It''ll be emotional.

Our last game of the season will be played when we travel to Gatwick for our flight to Florida, so I really hope that it''s a good result we receive via text than one where we have been relegated.  That would make for a real crappy start to a holiday [:(]

So I will have everything crossed that is possible to cross that the lads can pull something special out of the bag for a good few games.

24 more points max.

Will it be enough this year? maybe. It certainly looks possible that there will be four clubs on under 50 points this season.

30pts remaining  a sub total of 56 which is safe as imo 49pts will fill the last relagation spot.Yet have added a couple of optimistic ones in there i.e Reading at home 3pts just on the fact that imo they''ll be promoted by this time and i don''t care what any pundits say no player will give 100% in a meaningless game and chance serious injury knowing they''ll be playing PL League football next season.Hopefully they''ll be suffering from promotion party hangovers. Also must point out that we don''t even know whos starting up front come the next match and the way GR does things Nelson will probably make his debut up there. All in all come may 2nd hope the job is done as was last season cause don''t fancy an away day scrap with a relagation rival come may 3rd.

26 Points so double what we have now ..

Would be enough to keep us up. But then i have been quite optimistic about home ties. Because, yes and i know im blind i still see it as a fortress!

24 of those points are from home games. and as an avide away traveller we would only pick up 2 points on the road. Pityfull. But, heck. Lets see what Roeder can do.

''we are rubbish'' - all the results I have posted are obtainable, someones already mentioned Reading will be most likely promoted by then, and we have already shown what a force we are against the top teams at home. Cardiff are nothing to fear, and with SUPPORT I beleive our home form will dig us out of this mess whilst picking up the odd few points on the road.Your username says it all about you really, doesn''t it.

How the hell can anyone think we will pick up 10 points in the next 4 league games. We haven''t done that all season so why now.The amount of people who are relying on us playing our way out of this amazes me.Our best hope is we manage to match charlton, doncastor and notts forest,s results hence staying above them.imho i think we might stay up with as few as 48 points

These are the sort of people who put bills in the drawer hoping they''ll go away. Only our home results will save us as we are utter sh*te away. Trouble is we are also sh*te at home. To win just 12 out of 23 home games this season we need to win 7 of the last 10. It won''t happen!

Thanky you Delia and the rest of our wonderful board. How much interest are we paying on the land that earns us FA in points?

I tend to agree with you, can''t see where the points will come from.  I have gone for a more positive view with my points, however, my head says we won''t get as many as I have said.

We shall see.
