no player should be on more than £2,000 a week that still works out at £100,000 a year!

chris martin is on £2000 a week and is only 20-21!!!

this is ruining football and someone needs to sort things out. If norwich did this then we would only spend about £60,000 a week on wages for the players and this would only cost 3 million quid a year instead of the current £8.5+ million a year! that would give the manager around an extra 3 million ish in the market and we would be a more successful club and players would still come because there still earning more than enough money to live!

Players wont come and play for £2k when they can get £8k somewhere else.

You may be like that, but a lot of footballers, and it is proven, would rather sit on the bench raking in the cash. If you cap wages there is a lack of competition and it will never happen because in a way it would be unfair.

And if the top players only get £2k a week, what about the squad players and lower league players, are they going to be happy only getting, I don''t know, £100 a week? Of course they aren''t.
