Kim Briscoe 0 Posted December 12, 2008 Afternoon - thought this might be of interest:He may only be 10-years-old but young Josh Clancy is already a rising footie star for the future. The football-mad youngster can do 4,000 keepy-uppies and is on his way to winning a national freestyle competition. And he could also provide hope of a brighter future for Norwich City fans - as he trains with the club''s Academy. There''s a video of him on the web too.........http://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/content/News/story.aspx?brand=ENOnline&category=News&tBrand=enonline&tCategory=news&itemid=NOED11%20Dec%202008%2011%3A16%3A08%3A247

The bloke who holds the record admits that he has hardly ever even played amatuer matches, and just likes doing keepy-uppies.Theres no point in learning how to do thousands of kick ups if you cant spray a pass 60 yards or head a ball..... put it that way. Bovril 219 Posted December 12, 2008 Like others have said, when was the last ''keepy-uppy'' player or freestyle champion in a good side? ..yes it looks great when your mucking around with your friends, and obviusly alot of skill is required...but could you imagine this kid ''keepy-uppying'' his way through on goal, and the only player in his way is neil ruddock....[;)]
