WHY BISHAM ?

Recommended Posts

If we are so short of money why and who decided we should stay 3 nights at Bisham after the Watford game ? I certainly can''t be for team bonding as several loanees and a few players we actually own will be gone at the end of the month.

If there is a case for a three day  bonding   /  training camp after the end of Jan would be the best time.

It would have been a lttle after midnight when they would have arrived back in Norwich, a day off on Thursday followed by a head banging session on friday would have been more like it.

Who are we playing this Saturday?  Reading away which, coincidentally, is just down the road from Bisham Abbey.

And if we had travelled home from Watford the team would have got back late, had light training Thursday and more than likely travelled back down Friday to stay in a hotel that was local to Reading with some decent training facilities, maybe even.......wait for it.....Bisham Abbey.

I despair when I read some of the stuff posted on here. I really do.

Training at England facilities not at Colney, saves energy on traveling. But lets not let it get in the way of having a dig at the board ey?

If we beat Reading it will be labelled a masterstroke...

If we lose... it will be put in the same category as last year''s Spanish expedition.

That''s just the way things seem to be at the moment.

Oh come on people, this really is moaning for moaning''s sake. Bisham Abbey is about 45 minutes from Reading on a busy day and is an institute of sporting excellence with the best facilities in the country so why not stay there between matches?

Accomodation at Bisham isnt great though. Stayed there a few years back when coaching the Welsh U21 team. Lots of car crime there too!!

that said, the training facilities are great though and it is close to Reading. Isnt that where Mike Bassett was filmed?
