Has Lupoli Shrunk?!?

Recommended Posts

The general view as to why Russell (a guy who by his own admission doesn''t even like playing upfront) is preferred upfront to Lupoli is that Roeder thinks he is too lightweight.

Well, how big was Lupoli when we signed him?  From memory, I can''t recall him ever being any bigger than he currently is and therefore, Roeder would have known he is lightweight when he signed him.  That of course, assumes Roeder did any kind of home work on Lupoli, which he clearly didn''t on Troy, OJ and to a certain extent Sibierski.  So, my question is, why does Roeder keep wasting money that is allegedly is short supply, on players he is never going to play?!?

Besides, whether Lupoli is 11st or 13st he''s still scored 4 goals in 5 starts and has always looked dangerous when played.  Does a striker need to be a man-mountain to score goals in this league?  Unless Cureton has taken some of Lupoli''s shrinking pills, he wasn''t particularly heavyweight when he won the golden boot a couple of years ago!

This all makes a nonesense of Roeder''s too lightweight statement and proves that he either has a massive problem with Lupoli or that he is clueless (which he clearly is anyway) or most likely, both!

But he is lightweight, have you seen him play?

Guess its a Roeder mistake.

Even so, I would rather we play with a lightweight striker who is a proven goal scorer than a midfielder or an ageing crock. So WHY IS LUPOLI TAKING UP A PLACE ON THE BENCH! If he isn''t going to play him at all, I mean even a defender got on before him today when we were chasing the game, then he should put one of our youngsters on the bench. This situation sums up Roeders mad decisions. This is really getting to me, in what situation would Lupoli ever get on the pitch? Ridiculous Roeder.

i guess we all though lupes would do the biz as part of a little and large front duo - but clearly he is unsuited to playing that high up the pitch against big hulking defenders,,,either he plays in the hole, like hooley, or left side of 3 up front (like he did for derby)...but for roedy, looks like the boy will never get beyond the bench...
