Why is Glenn wasting the Smiths' money?

Recommended Posts

On Lappin and Lupoli, I mean?

Not to mention that young chap Troy from White Hart Lane.

''Waste not want'' not my granny from Gorleston used to say.

She could have taught them all a lesson or two.

Dear oh dear.

She might have queried (in polite words[A]), for example -

''If Lupoli can''t last more than 60 minutes and we haven''t scored after 75 minutes then WTF didn''t Glenn put him on for last 15 minutes or so - especially since the big lad Cort was already on whom he could play off and get some protection from?''

And she would probably wind up by saying something like -

''Common sense doesn''t seem to be very common a Carrow Road these days.''

..........and then send out for Grandpa''s jug of beer to calm him down!!! (or so the legend goes)

And she would have been so right wouldn''t she?

Dear oh dear oh dear.

You''ve done your very best shot to get rid of Lappin but he just won''t go.  You circulated his availability to all 92 clubs for weeks on end.  You listed his agent''s mobile but, like McVeigh at Luton on the same list for the same reason (money), there wasn''t even one inquiry aside from Motherwell.

Motherwell would have loved him but his wages are far beyond them and he wouldn''t drop the money, despite the personal intervention of the Motherwell chairman of the time.

Even when Mrs (I don''t like Norwich) Lappin buggered off back to her homeland yonks ago not even then would he follow her.

Looks like you are stuck with him until the contract runs out.

Of course it could be that he bleeds Yellow and Green and is determined to stick it out for his chance or it could be entirely something else.

Who knows?

So does nobody want him on loan either - even if at discounted wages? Or does he refuse to go out on loan too?

You couldn''t just sweet talk around granny just like that, you know.
