Jerzy Krukowski 5 Posted December 19, 2008
its a pity mri scans hasn''t found evidence of human conciousness in the brain - then maybe we wouldn''t be having this discussion!!!
A wildly sweeping statement of many levels. However much you might examine the electrons pumping around a cpu, you would never be able to reconstruct the program that was being run, neither by looking at the activation levels of big chunks of brain would you find consciousness. It doesn''t mean that consciosness isn''t a product of the brain''s functioning though, as similarly windows is clearly a function of the cpu''s activity. Jerzy Krukowski 5 Posted December 19, 2008
LGTWithout testability, your theory is no more valid than anybody elses. There may well be someone locked up in a lunatic asylum who is the only one who can see the World as it truly is. We can never know.Without proof you are essentially relying on an appeal to authority - it''s true because you say it is.Besides me & Dinsdale both know the ultimate authority is Spiny Norman. You know, that giant hedgehog that lives in the disused aircraft hanger in Luton.D-I-I-N-S-D-A-A-LE
he screwed my pelvis to a cake stand the other day, the bugger
