I was at a petrol station 2 hours after a game and the guy wroking there asked me about it. I told him Holt had a stinker, I paid and turned around and he was behind me in the line. I shuffled out at speed.

Mowbray''s......It used to be a hip an'' trendy bar just off Fye Bridge and just on the corner over the road from the Rib''s on Magdalen St - it''s now an arty farty trendy cafe thingummybob.....Late 90''s - some beer was regularly consumed by me, and the large gaggle and throng of the then NCFC squad....[B][<:o)]....

this was a few years ago now, i was on a stag due in great yarmouth, and went to a casino, after a few drinks i noticed that  fleck, disco dale, rusty, notman, forbes, coote, and few others that i cant remember! where all trashed and being escorted out of the building never knew what happened, they where in no mood for a chat, i recall we had a heavy home defeat that afternoon!!!
they are all normally in mercy vip every saturday night..... sorry but if you wonder why we are fighting at the bottom of the league then the players getting wrecked every weekend probably doesnt help. if you paid me £5000 a week i wouldnt drink til i was retired from playing.

all i say is mercy vip, i am bored of seeing them pissed out of there heads. could be a reason we are down the bottom by any chance??????????????
So pissed off that you felt the need to post the same thing twice. On the same day.

One of the best nights out i''ve had in norwich was during the playoff season (though could have been the season before) before Christmas met up with a friend who knew Neal  Renyolds and  he blagged us in to the VIP at Time where the 1st team were having their fancy dress christmas party.  Some great costumes, Paul Mveigh as Bob the builder, Darren Kenton as a Storm Trooper, Big Iwan as Lily Savage! Very surreal but all were on top form and just good lads to have a beer with.Funniest point was when the fire alarm went off and they evacuated and found myself outside with a couple of mates and Paul Mcveigh dancing around all sining the bob the builder theme followed by we love you Paul Mcveigh repeatedly till we got back in. Good times and very funny but I think PMV loved it a bit to much!

Why not go out on a saturday night? No game, usually no training, let them live a little. Pointless to begrudge anyone a night out. If the company you work for was doing badly would you stop going out?
I once had nearly the whole squad gatecrash my mates birthday party in Delaneys in the promotion season, it was the night of our defeat to Bradford at home.

Hucks and Iwan both posed for a number of photo''s but  i won''t go into what happened with one player in the toilets as i could be banned from here.

Another time i saw Gary Holt and Drury havin a few pints in pitch and piano with their other halves. (both looking glum)

Also i spoke with Drury in Lambs, he had a few by that point!!

I also used to see Forbes speeding around Thorpe Marriott in some flash car, loving the attention!!
I bet that I know who''s birthday party this was...... it was a 21st, they all signed his birthday card, and he didnt want to speak to him because we lost... i think it was 1-0 them bradford..... And i know exactly what you mean in the toilets, they were all at it, you would be really suprised to know which ones did, well.... because it was nearly all of them.

Hi just wondering if there are any funny or interesting stories people have about seeing norwich players or speaking to them out and about? i saw huckerby and drury very drunk in a kebab shop drury jumped on hux''s back completely missed him and landed on a heap on the floor so hux scooped him up and ran down prince of wales road with him on his back!! on the LEFT hand side off the road ofcourse :D
Yeah loads of times.....

Most of the squad in Squares in the play off season, bought Iwan and Notman a pint...... Iwan didnt drink his as he said was worried it was spiked.

Most of the promotion squad upstairs in Delaneys after they hijacked a private party..... All completely off their faces, which I was annoyed about as we had lost 1-0 that day..... Funniest part was Jim Brennan pissing in a sink. I also had a chat with Mike Milligan who always makes me think he should replace Shane McGowan in The Pogues, dont know why he was with them

I used to see Mulryne and McVeigh around Dereham Road and the Golden Triangle almost every week....

I met Paul Dalglish and Brian McGovern lots of times in Temple Bar.

I saw Hucks, Crofty, Docs, Jarvis, Drury and couple of others on new years eve, all looking well behaved.....

Ive seen Hucks walking on his own down Prince of Wales road loving all the attention a couple of years ago.....

Damien Francis a few months ago in the city in Elements buying about £500 worth of stuff....

Drury, Hucks and McKenzie in Mercy VIP.....

Ashton and Shackell in Mercy loads of times....

I often see Joe Ferrari walking down St Benedicts always looks like a miserable b*stard.  Neil Doncaster in Tesco Express once as well  buying a bottle of red I believe....

And probably lots of other times too!  I thought that it was normal to see them out and about!
Were these two romantically involved with one another?

LOL

I have seen ashton about 4 months ago go into wagamamas, bit weird seeming he was at westham but perhaps he was just visiting friends. I also live in a small village outside norwich and i saw ashton just randomly walking, seemed like he was waiting for someone. I jumped out of my mums car and shook hands with him and managed to find a piece of paper and a pen and still have his autograph, he seemed really nice!

His girlfriend (not sure if they are married yet), grew up in the same village as me. So they come back quite a bit to visit family I think.
They don''t have to drink tho
Why on earth shouldnt they?
Having a drink from time to time is fine. However if your being paid £5000+ a week to play a game of football professionally every week for a club that means so much to so many people, getting absolutely smashed is disrespectful to say the least.Don''t get me wrong, having a night out from time to time is fine, but getting into such a nasty state is just plain stupid, especially if it''s on a regular basis.I don''t like the fella and haven''t wanted him at this club while he''s been out of contract, but I''d certainly like to see Roy Keane come in and have a proper go with these lot. They all sound like they need a right kick up the backside if you ask me.

if Keane came into this club alot of playersa would hand in transfer requests.. not because they dont like him.. but they like the lifestyle and Keano going metnal and, possibly, holding a players head down the toilet until they "learn some damn respect!" would scare the bloody bejesus out of most of our squad!
