He''s abysmal, cant winner a header, work rate is terrible and he really hasn''t scored consistently for years. Not even Marbella, in the 3rd division in Spain, wanted him.

if his injury troubles are behind him as both roeder and carl have said and he regain some of his old form he may well be ok... its a gamble for sure but as someone else said if he fails this then its game over for his career so hes going to be hungry and really go for it. He''ll probably be used as an option on the bench for the time being, at least until hes match fit and until then hoolahan lita bell and croft can rip apart watford and charlton.

What''s the point of knocking him before he has even played a game yet? It''s pointless. Writing him off before he has even put on the shirt for us sums up how negative most people are. Just give him a go and stop being a prat, fair enough writing things about him, if he''s performing poorly, but knocking him before he has even played is out of order

this carl cort BS signing has seriously p**ed me off - JC is old and washed up - and so is sibs - lupes couldn''t get near his first team in italy - and clearly has problems (the boy can''t give more then 45 mins), to be fair - kenners - is a battler and has defied his horrific injury probs,,,but by the sounds of it, CC''s signing has tons of question marks...if he couldn''t get near the leicester first team, or this spanish mob, then what value will the player be to us???  especially when his injury record is taken into account - for me this is a loan gamble too far...i hope the player is on a dazza anderton ''pay as you play'' type contract,,,especially seeing how we''ll be paying sibs up until the end of dec, and troy by all accounts - and then how much is lupes costing for his benchwork...''ace up my sleeve'' - don''t make me laff...more like turd in the woodshed!!!sorry - but i can''t get any enthusiasm for this - i just hope upon hope that the player and roedy prove me wrong...[:(]

Agree completely, was really lifted by the derby result and the promise of an "ace up the sleeve" but am extremely disappointed. (Don''t think he is a loan though LGT, thought he was on a short contract).

As Roeder says, this signing is a calculated gamble. It may pay off, then again he may pick up another injury and retire.

Let''s take the positive approach that he''s on a free, will be taking low wages and has the potential to be a good signing.

I think it is for depth more than anything else.He needs match fitness which means he is unlikely to start every match - we have been playing 4-5-1 mainly due to the lack of another striker so at least it gives us options so that should we need to chase a game late on we have got that option. Not trying to be funny here but if you are 1-0 down with 20mins to go sometimes long ball to a big striker is the way to go - its not pretty but it was the tactic with Iwan a few years back.In fact I can remember games where we were chasing and players like Malky were pushed on a bit more to add to Iwan and who-ever to pile on the pressure at the other end. At the moment people question the likes of Croft''s deliveries but in some ways it''s pointless when you don''t really have anyone big enough to challenge for a cross - you rely on strikers sneekily dropping off their man. This in itself is a problem when the only striker is Lita!
