foxile 0 Posted December 9, 2008 Oh dear, i like Norwich, you didn''t deserve this. He''s abysmal, cant winner a header, work rate is terrible and he really hasn''t scored consistently for years. Not even Marbella, in the 3rd division in Spain, wanted him.Hope you guys stay up this year, thoroughly enjoyed your match on Sunday, but this could be a sign of things to come. Dangles 0 Posted December 9, 2008 HAHAHAHAHAHA - This signing has made me laugh a lot - absolutely terrible signing, I really find this hilarious - I watched your game against Ipswich and you were a class above, but if you change your style around Carl Cort - god help you!!! Best of luck! (You''ll need it!)HA!
foxile 0 Posted December 9, 2008 Yes they released him, which is why he is a free agent. [:(]
we8wba 0 Posted December 9, 2008 glad to see im not the only one who rates him as one worst strikers ever. i believe cureton will win more headers and hold ball up better than this donkey.
Polar 0 Posted December 9, 2008 if his injury troubles are behind him as both roeder and carl have said and he regain some of his old form he may well be ok... its a gamble for sure but as someone else said if he fails this then its game over for his career so hes going to be hungry and really go for it. He''ll probably be used as an option on the bench for the time being, at least until hes match fit and until then hoolahan lita bell and croft can rip apart watford and charlton. Big Slob 0 Posted December 9, 2008
id also like to point out, that while im optimistc about the signing.. Cort is a sicknote!.. will he even make 10 games for us this season?jas :)
What''s the point of knocking him before he has even played a game yet? It''s pointless. Writing him off before he has even put on the shirt for us sums up how negative most people are. Just give him a go and stop being a prat, fair enough writing things about him, if he''s performing poorly, but knocking him before he has even played is out of order

All hes said is what everyone else is saying is that he has a few injury and fitness worrys. Hes not being "out of order" or a "prat". Read his post again before you slag him off mate. lucky green trainers 0 Posted December 9, 2008 this carl cort BS signing has seriously p**ed me off - JC is old and washed up - and so is sibs - lupes couldn''t get near his first team in italy - and clearly has problems (the boy can''t give more then 45 mins), to be fair - kenners - is a battler and has defied his horrific injury probs,,,but by the sounds of it, CC''s signing has tons of question marks...if he couldn''t get near the leicester first team, or this spanish mob, then what value will the player be to us??? especially when his injury record is taken into account - for me this is a loan gamble too far...i hope the player is on a dazza anderton ''pay as you play'' type contract,,,especially seeing how we''ll be paying sibs up until the end of dec, and troy by all accounts - and then how much is lupes costing for his benchwork...''ace up my sleeve'' - don''t make me laff...more like turd in the woodshed!!!sorry - but i can''t get any enthusiasm for this - i just hope upon hope that the player and roedy prove me wrong...[:(]
The_Logitian 0 Posted December 9, 2008 Oh poo, and I was starting to feel very optimistic after our permormance on Saturday using the 4-5-1, now this turd has put a spanner in the works. Please Roader, just bring him on as a late sub, nothing else!

Harleston Canary 0 Posted December 9, 2008 We''ll have to see about Cort - I must admit I''m a bit more disappointed than I was at first - got him mixed up with Carlton Cole! What a signing that would have been...
Jonzey 0 Posted December 9, 2008 As Roeder says, this signing is a calculated gamble. It may pay off, then again he may pick up another injury and retire.Let''s take the positive approach that he''s on a free, will be taking low wages and has the potential to be a good signing. Nuff Said 5,115 Posted December 9, 2008 1) He has had serious injury problems in recent years but has been seeing the same specialist who worked with Michael Owen among others, so maybe he can find his old form2) He won''t be expensive3) Glenn has watched him in training for a couple of weeks (surely he must have been to Asda during this time?)4) Lita can''t play against Reading and none of the alternatives we have have exactly set the pitch on fire5) Most importantly, he''s a legend on this mesage board!Add it all up and it''s got to be worth a gamble surely?Welcome to Norwich Mr Cort. Some of us are rooting for you!

I think it is for depth more than anything else.He needs match fitness which means he is unlikely to start every match - we have been playing 4-5-1 mainly due to the lack of another striker so at least it gives us options so that should we need to chase a game late on we have got that option. Not trying to be funny here but if you are 1-0 down with 20mins to go sometimes long ball to a big striker is the way to go - its not pretty but it was the tactic with Iwan a few years back.In fact I can remember games where we were chasing and players like Malky were pushed on a bit more to add to Iwan and who-ever to pile on the pressure at the other end. At the moment people question the likes of Croft''s deliveries but in some ways it''s pointless when you don''t really have anyone big enough to challenge for a cross - you rely on strikers sneekily dropping off their man. This in itself is a problem when the only striker is Lita!
