i got hit round the head by one forest fan in a gang for no reason what so ever before the game. Didnt see a cop all the way to the match. Saw loads in the stadium. When i leave again no coppers ( all musted of been at burger king ) i was walking down the street with mr darren huckerby and so very hapy norwich fans and out of no where aload more forest fans just came round the corner for a fight. Started throwing police cones at us and anything they could lay their hands on. Thier the worst supports i ever come across. i been milwall and leeds!!!

Forest has a nasty endemic element.  Fantastic turn out - well done to all of you.  Shows up a few Premiership teams!

I got hit by a car at the back of the stand, fair enough it was going at about 5mph but the silly woman was just not happy to let anyone walk past, she almost hit a forest fan in front of me and he was not happy then she proceeded to hit my leg. Common sense prevails :S

that''s really weird. although I didn''t go yesterday have been several times and always found Forest fans to be pretty good, have even been drinking with them in the Trent Bridge Inn before the game on occasion. Just goes to show you can be in the wrong place at the wrong time anywhere I guess.

Yeah Nottingham is a real mix of people, some of the friendliest people you can meet, however theres a very large proportion of idiots, particularly with a 5:15 kick off when many of these creatures will be heading into Nottingham city centre after the game.As the poster before mentioned, you can go to any ground and be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Well we were walking back to the car last season after a QPR game when a couple of QPR fans said how happy they were that NC weren''t going to be relegated, they went on to state that going to CR was always a joy for them, the fans were always friendly and helpful.  Makes you very proud when opposition fans say that to you.  [:D]

Like others have said, wrong place, wrong time.  Don''t let a few idiots put you off supporting your team away, chances are that it won''t ever happen again.

Spot On! ...and I guess there''s decent people in Ipswich too, though a bit more difficult to find as drinking partners on match day I guess. Derby or Licester fans probably have a very different erxperience.

Midlands games are an experiance.. i found Birmingham fans to be agressive, bth at the playoff final (god help us had we of won that day!) and at St Trannies... contrast that to WBA fans who are friendly, helpful and welcoming....

Been to forest once and didnt get any trouble... we lost 4-0 and a certain mr Huckerby gt the first goal for Forest....

jas :)
Doesn''t surprise me, I think Nottingham has one of the highest crime / murder rates in the country. You''re lucky to escape alive.
Don''t be ridiculous, Nottingham is a great city, trouble genereally comes to those that want it. I''ve never had any problem in 20 years of living here. Forest does however have a reasonable hoolie element and I think had the highest arrest rate last season.

I walked back from the ground to the Broadmarsh shopping centre (city centre) wearing my Norwich scarf and no issues.  In fact I had a few Norwich fans behind me singing ''We only had ten men'' and ''You''re not very good'' and still no sign of trouble.

Like has been posted above I guess it''s about being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Additionally, I did see the women in the car trying to drive around the stadium at 5mph.  Why she did n''t wait 15 minutes for the crowd to leave the area I don''t know.

Don''t let some random tools stop you traveling to Forest in future mate, they''d love to know they''d put you off.

My memory of the city ground is quite amusing... Our poor attempt at hitting a barn door a good few boxing days ago - a "we got one shot on target" chant drifting around the away end as we scuffed one at the goal 2 - 0 down in the 93rd minute. Freezing cold and one hapless steward had obviously been given a hat by his Mum for Christmas. Very stylish furry thing with ear flaps and tartan lining. Evoking memories of Jason Lee, we launched into "He''s got a dead squirrel on his head". Fair play to the fella, he took it in good spirits, gave a little wave and even stopped telling us to sit down. Cheered me up no end , which was nice as the performance was awful (away days like that aren''t restricted to this season I guess). Anyone else remember our furry headed Notts chum??

Re - clubs from the midlands being more tetchy than others, is that really true? Yeah there was a fair bit of gloating while we waited for the coaches back to the car park after the Millenium Stadium shoot out. Norwich humour won the day again though with shouts of go home followed by some genius pointing out that the guy was from Brum - why would he want to go home?

I think we have to be careful not to apply Daily Mail statistics to our discussion about isolated incidents on a Saturday anywhere in the country. Sympathies to our chum who took one round the chops though, no one deserves that, it''s horrible and I can''t say I blame you for being put off.

Babyface: "Additionally, I did see the women in the car trying to drive around the stadium at 5mph. Why she did n''t wait 15 minutes for the crowd to leave the area I don''t know"

Yeah - daft that. Remember that awful story about the woman who was driving through Paris in 98 after France had won? The streets were packed and she panicked, dumped the accelerator. I can''t remember the numbers but I think some people got killed, there were certainly a lot of injuries. Sad.

it is down to luck what grief you get at games. I remember when I was living in Barnsley I went to sheff weds away, and a bunch of their fans helped me find the bus I needed to get back to meadowhall train station, I then went to rotherham, and on way was told my some other city fans that the old millmor ground away end was called the rat run by home fans, they could stand at end and charge down it at the away fans, this didn''t happen but walking back to train station I was smacked in the face by a rotherham fan whilst surrounded by city fans (thankfully coz they were good at calming me down), and then went to barnsley when sent them down, and thanks to my mate who didn''t wear anything under his shirt so he could take it off, we had to run back to my house on other side of barnsley. However, a number of their fans were laughing at us for wearing city shirts in barnsley but other than that I got no grief.as said in number of posts it is down to luck, but you clearly enjoy torture and drama supporting the club away anyway!!!

forest is shit hole! supporters are wimps, when they play teams like millwall and leeds their fans are no where to be seen, when vs team like norwich (no offence but you know what i mean) they think they can be all big and hard

forest is rough place. my old man goes most away games but says he wont go to forest again since bad experience when he was younger.
